Voucher worthless- £5 for click and collect

Received a £5 for click and collect. When we tried to redeem it we were told the till system has changed so the voucher cannot be redeemed. Tried to contact customer services but only get automated responses, no real help or real person.
When ordering here, assume you pay £5 for click and collect and it’s unlikely you see that money back as promised.
Any other shop would let staff recognise the voucher and even if it does go through the till, apply the discount.
I don’t expect much response here, as I can read the responses look all identical and just direct you to the online chat that does not address any issues.
