Friendly and helpful shop assistant. Looked up some other game titles for me and their release dates and had clearly played some of the previous titles in the back catalogue so was able to relate to what I was looking for. Clearly interested in their work and passionate about gaming.
Game Reserve & Collect
Purchase of a PS4 Control Ultimate Edition for a nephew. Easy to reserve and collect on the Game App which then diverts the user to their Website to search for the product required to reserve.
Good service, but it only reserved for a day, which is a problem if the item is in the clearance or sale and you can't get in for a day or so to collect, then you'd miss out.
A vast improvement would be to allow the customer to reserve the item and pay for it online with PayPal or other means, then it could be reserved for a week or ten days as already purchased and the customer is then most likely to call in to collect within the 10-day limit.
It would be much better if you had the option to pay in advance like this for items you are reserving in store that are in stock.
At present if you want to pay in advance for items, you can't reserve these to collect, only buy from Games central storage area and pay for shipment which is an additional £4.99.
This is pretty poor customer service compared to other competitors. I would suggest that Game could increase their standard of customer service and business very easily (plus their wider sales & stock purchases in stores) by simply adjusting their online IT systems (App & Website) to give customers the option of reserving items in stock at stores and paying for these in advance online, with an extended collection period of approx 10-days.
