This site is a joke. Me and my brother both use gamebanana, so we obviously use two separate accounts. Suddenly I got banned for "having multiple accounts". Why? Because we're on the same IP address.... See more

The "Pick-Me Girl" of Websites
The "pick-me girl" of websites. It purposefully breaks site design conventions just to be different, calling your friends list "buddies", has a complex points system where your Þ is counted? I don't know what "thankers" are, donators I guess? They call cloud storage "bitpit". They call featured mods "ripe"?? It bombards new users with this cringy and confusing site culture.
It's also hardly usable, I can't make mod requests because I don't have enough Þ. And when I ask a question it doesn't even get posted. The search bar is broken because if you refresh half the results disappear. Not to mention it doesn't even use 25% of the screen, it's like the site was made exclusively for 4:3 aspect ratio.
It won't let me get mods
I like because is picking and good
(i hope the devs will read this)
(i hope the devs will read this)
btw, this website is so cool but when i upload a mod, it say a setting called "body" and what is this? "SEXYBANANA" could they change it to "mod description" instead of "body text" it is very sexy and bleeding my nose!!!!
It's not a good site for CS maps
I feel that GameBanana is really a bad site/platform to upload maps for CS 1.6 (Counter-Strike 1.6) and other mods. Very strict rules and very rude members. I clearly recommend to upload all your maps to 17Buddies.
I like the games/mods
Its Great.
I love the mods and the games that's in the website.
Sometimes it can be kinda slow on downloads and sometimes kinda fast.
I kinda like it
improve this website and upload on something other
i don’t like it it has very strict rules and staff AND THEY MAKE RULES EVEN STRICTER WITHOUT ANY CHANGE OF RULES games that have licenses that allow you to do almost anything THEY WILL USE IT TO LICENSE IT UNDER STRICT LICENSE i mean people don’t want not epic things but why you can’t just make more similar atleast SO NOW SUGGESTIONS WANTING TIME SAVING AND COOL SUGGESTIONS? LIKE TIMESAVING SUGGESTION? NAH IT WILL BE TRASHED IF MODS DON’T LIKE IT AND THERE ARE MANY UNLISTED FLAWS WITH THAT WEBSITE
Great
Gamebanana is probably the best modding site.
You can find many great mods and the moderators are really nice and helpful, the rules are ok and i don't feel that they're strict.
The community is also pretty nice... But you can still find toxic people but that's not a big problem because you can report them.
Most people here are just Complaining because their mods got trashed for breaking the rules and not actually reviewing the site.
Gamebanana isn't perfect but it's great :-)
Nice creative interface but quite some irony there!
Absolutely not the best platform for uploading games. First of all, let me tell you about the unlocks : after creating an account and logging in, you may find that there are several features that are available, but only by earning points or buying ripe. They say there are no paywalls (if you enter the site not logged in with adblocker) but if you don't have enough points then access to ripe is pretty much a paywall. However, the real reason they use points to purchase these features (or unlocks) is to prevent spam or something... pretty ironic! Because the Gamebanana site is FULL of spam!
And that brings us to secondly... and no, those MSPaint mods are hardly spam compared to the spam I'm talking about... I call it "trash spam"! It's what actually becomes of MSPaint "masterpieces" after being flagged! You search up something vague, say "baldi's basics decompile", no precise names you know, and you find alot of results and many of them are either still in the works with sometimes no download, flagged and can't be downloaded, cancelled or downright TRASHED! Normally, when you're looking for a download, you don't really have time to discover something you can't even use! I'm looking for "Baldi's basics decompile" because I want to play it some time! They should only show what's been trashed if I actually typed in something that matches enough with the trashed item! Don't you also hate it when you see this very interesting mod, and only after you click on it, you have the right to know its actual status : cancelled. I don't know why this site appears to have more content uploads from modders than the two better ones (Gamejolt and itch.io, at least the original creator of Baldi knew that a very convenient place for his games was not Gamebanana)! Also, third : Say on day 1 you logged in to Gamebanana. You never clicked "log out" or something, you just turn off your computer at the end of the day... the next day you check out Gamebanana again, and this is what you see : "Gamebanana shows no ads to members" as well as some ads (and you coulda sworn you were a member just yesterday); you are logged back out. There are "Sign up" and "log in" options. You look a decompile, you find a decompile, then you wanna talk about it in the comments, but you have to log in first. Be sure to copy the url in the adress bar because once you log in, you WILL be redirected to your main account page, and there's no way to escape this log-in redirection before resuming your browsing. The point is, each day you first open Gamebanana, let's just hope you used your browser's log-in autofill or that you either log in before searching, or you search first, then save the url before you start logging in. Fourth, it seems Gamebanana is the only game hosting site that uses ads (although I'll go lightly on them for not ENFORCING ads on their users and removing them for logged in members) and makes you trade someting for features. I've made this review when their server was down, but I won't judge them for a server fail. These almighty errors can happen to any server! Although their competence may be reviewable depending on the time it takes to fix the problems. If a fix requires money, and they can't afford it, then I believe it's just that they are in a very unstable position to have ever decided to make this website at all.
The worst platform to upload content…
The worst platform to upload content for your game, not worth the time to use unless you want to be restricted by any of censorship methods
its ok
its good
the games are fun stuff is great exept the staff they take hard earnd points :c
Worst Staff members, very strict rules.
Worst Staff members, being strict at all times. Removing joke comments for using caps(YOU DIED), and they have very strict rules. Some Staff member is also being rude to others. Also, they are removing or withholding other's submission for not being credit other users properly. Instead, I recommend you to post your project on GitHub.
Not A Fun Place To Be
The 2 admins that run this website don't have a care in the world for your opinions, trashing everything left and right because it wasnt good enough for them. Even if they don't know anything about the mod. Also practically everything needs points to do, if you make a post you'll get 10-25 points thought if one of the admins feels like trashing it you lose the all the points you just gained. Really nice especially becuse you need 25 points just to summit a request post and if that get trashed you aren't get any points back. And that's not all you can use points to unlock things for your profile sounds harmless but if you don't have any of this people will look down at you regardless of what you post or how you act. And even better people can see when and how you earned your points and even see where you been last on the website, again this would be okay as a option but there's no way to turn this off. Simple put this website is gives you no privacy or control on anything.
GameBanana has mix between Good and Bad Things about it
I want to say this website is much better then Nexus-Mods. Because does not have Confusing content Filters on it. There are two things that Ruin the website for me:
1) People can be heartless, Jerks, A-holes on the website. Time to time People has to delete there own mod because People were being douchebags. Were no respect and proper Criticism. As well the comments are people who treat others like crap.
2) The reason why a Mod was Removed can be unfair. One Mod I want to download. I found out the Mod was gone from the website and the answer did not actually answer. It was in fact just more than 2 dots, another mod was deleted because the person who deleted it. Thinks Counter Strikes 2D sucks. I don't how the removing mods if it's the creators or someone other then but some people have an Attitude Problem toward others. It does not help my enjoyment of the website. It makes unwelcome for everyone.
I don't fully agree with the rules and laws of the website but less do not ruin my enjoyment, not like those two reasons.
Working as it should!
Have been on that website for more than a year, and haven't got any anoying stuff from them, or anything on the site
