I'm still waiting for items I purchased…
I'm still waiting for items I purchased two months ago that were listed in stock. I've called (each time I was on hold for an annoying hour, plus) and told their was "a little problem the warehouse" but my items were due to ship out. A month passed. I've written them twice. No response.
Too late this year to use the items. Never would have ordered them if they were up front. And by the way, the items are still listed as being in stock.
Horrible customer service. Still do not have my order.
Placed an order almost 2 months ago. Never received product. No follow up from customer service. Sent several emails no reply. Waited on hold for over an hour when someone answered they just liked and said my product would ship the next week. Nope. 2 weeks later still no order. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you need gardening supplies for current season.

Echoing the other reviews around cutomer service. My initial order about 2 years ago was great, but my most recent order isn't even complete after several months. I have emailed 3x asking for an update and while the promise is 72 hours to respond I've heard ZERO. Called but the wait time was over an hour both calls. Super disappointed...however the dept that seems to be performing is the marketing team sending emails and catalogs, but too bad you won't be able to get your order or speak to anyone about it!

Their customer service is horrible!!! My order of $148 was ro be shipped in 5-8 days. It's been 3 weeks now. Haven't received my order, can't get through to them by phone (71 minute wait, outrageous!), and they won't return emails. Their customer service dept is only open 8-4:30 M-F. I have a full time job. How can I stay on hold for 70 minutes? Buyer beware!
Poor customer Service
I found the customer service at Gardener's Supply to be abysmal. When it took over a month for my order, I cancelled it by email. I received an email in reply saying that they were shipping the order. I responded that I wanted the order cancelled. They shipped it anyway. I received it six weeks after the order was placed with no explanation for the delay. I am returning the order.
Customer Service Sucks!!
I got the item that I ordered, but it was broken out of the box - box was not damaged at all. I sent an email - no response. Currently, I am on hold with their customer service (told it would be a 43 minute wait).

Communication was literally non-existant, unless you count a canned response to an email in which they, ironically, explain how important customer service is to them. I placed the order on May 28th and got an email saying there would be a follow up email once the item had shipped. Well, as of of 6/18 no emails at all. This despite my sending an email asking for a status update. I then called their customer service number only to learn that expected wait time was over 60 minutes. I put my phone on the desk and went about my work. At 75 minutes I gave up. On checking my Amex account the item was billed. I sent a second email asking them to cancel the order as I was going to buy a similar item from another vendor. Again no response. Finally I had to call Amex to dispute the charge. Still awaiting a final resolution. I would say the customer service was atrocious if it even existed. Only wish I had been smart enough to read the reviews before assuming they were a professional business.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I placed an order for a few items. Only the item that shipped directly from thr manufacturer came to me in a reasonable time. The balance of small easy to find items I could have gotten anywhere else took a month to ship out! I sent questions to their customer service which never answered my questions or offered any discount or refund. Just its shipped you can return it if you don’t want it. Seriously?! You think a one month shipping turn is acceptable? No way will I buy anything here again. What a waste of time and money.
Excellent Raised Beds and Service
Over the past 3 years, I have been creating a 50’ x 50’ raised-bed garden from beds and other garden supplies ordered from Gardener’s Supply Company, The products are holding up very well and making gardening so much easier for me vs. when I planted directly in the ground. I have 28 cedar raised beds, mostly 4x8 and 4x12, with four 4x4. It makes it very easy to create the right environment for each vegetable or fruit and to rotate crops each year. The staff are always very helpful when I seek input.

We ordered a tree guard and supports and bands, for a tree we were planting on our village green, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D_Day landings.
When we ordered the items about 2 weeks before the event dat they quoted 5 to 7 working days for delivery, we knew it was going to be tight.
On 2nd of June, only 4 days away from event we received a message that they could not supply the guard as they had run out of stock. They reimbursed the money but that was no good to us as we had no time left before the event to get one ordered and supplied in time.
Disgraceful service, we will never use this company again, and then they have the audacity for me to review their product and service, well you can imagine it was not good.
Scammers
Ordered three weeks ago. Nothing has arrived and no email updates. Emailed customer service twice with no response. Tried calling but was told it was 36 minute wait time. I ordered in May because I need these things for the summer growing season. This company is a scam and needs to be shut down immediately!

I ordered a product on May 26. The website claims all orders are filled in 3-4 business. As of 6/11, my order has not been "filled". I have emailed the company 3 times, with no response, and when I call the hold times vary from 21 minutes to 79 minutes. I did stay on hold for 61 minutes and did get a "real live person" who would only say the order had not yet shipped but would ship sometime the following week. My last email to them was to cancel the order, with no response. I highly recommend finding another supplier for your gardening needs.
Terrible Company
I had the same experience as everyone else. Placed an order on 5/16/24. Weeks went by with no communication. Their website showed the status of my order as "inventory assigned." I tried to call numerous times with hold waits over an hour. Emailed four times with no response. I finally called and left it on speaker phone and after an hour and 15 minutes someone finally answered. He told me they were behind and my order would be sent in about 2 more weeks. I told him to cancel the order and he said he cancelled it. Now, a week later, the order still shows the status of "inventory assigned." So I have doubts of whether it was actually cancelled. The hold on my credit card is gone though so we'll see. I don't know how they are still in business.

Wish I would've read these reviews. Ordered item & it never shipped. I called 2x and waited over an hour & never got to a person and emailed them 4x. I have just now submitted a complaint with the BBB, but unfortunately I used a visa gift card and I got rid of the card, so I am out my $82. This is a scam company & am just glad I didn't spend more money. How is this company legally allowed to operate if others are also experiencing no items being delivered!? Stay away!!

Don't bother to order from this company
I ordered a trellis for peas from this company on April 19. By the end of May, having received no notice of shipment, I contacted customer service - not at easy task as the wait time at all times of day are so long as to discourage waiting. I was told the order would be shipped in early May. A month after placing the order, nothing had been received. I could never get through to customer service. I sent notification twice via email to cancel my order as my peas were not growing rapidly and the trellis would be of no use to me. The package arrived on JUNE 6th!!!! This company is TERRIBLE. Customer service is non-existent and completely unreliable. NEVER again will I order from Gardener's Supply Co., a place from which I have ordered in the past. I understand that the founder and prior owner sold the company to the employees, but it is clear that they have no clue how to run this business.

What a disappointing experience it has been.
I paid for my order through PayPal and it has sat pending for three weeks.. which means it hasn’t even been processed.
After repeated calls with a disclosed wait time of over 60 minutes and many emails that were answered only with a generic scripted response , I cancelled my payment through PayPal.
If you are up for an exercise in total frustration.. place your order.
This website is a scam
My items never arrived. They never email back, nor do they answer the phone. I have to get my bank to refuse the charges. How on earth do they stay in business?
