Does not honor their price

I bought a Home Depot x Mediterra 10 x 12 Replacement Canopy (CNYY-HDLCM463B. Received it on Wednesday and 2 days latter recieved a email that it was on sale for $30 less. I contacted customer service and asked for a price adjustment. they said that the adjustment period was 5 days and I was 11 days so there was nothing they would do. If I returned it they would charge me for the shipping both ways on the return and no free shipping if I ordered again.. This is my 3 order with them and I am very disappointed with their customer service policy.

Junk won't last 10 months use and it is trashed.

Purchase a new topper for our cabana in April 2014. Took it down and stored it from November to February. So it was used outdoors 10 months out of the 1 year 7 months we had it. And it is trashed rips everywhere. And we upgraded to the better one. Don't waste your money ! Talked to Gardenwinds and they offered 10.00 off a new one. Junk products don't waste your money !

Poor Quality Product, Unwillingness To Replace Item

In November of 2013 I purchased a replacement canopy for my gazebo from Gardenwinds. Within a few months, the elastic ties that hold the canopy in place wore out, the corners of the canopy came loose, and one corner tore. The canopy had a one year warranty, so I contacted Gardenwinds in September 2014 about it. I sent them photos. They said they would replace the canopy with another, but they had discontinued that particular canopy, so I paid the difference to have them send me the "better quality" rip stop canopy. I received it in October 2014. This canopy is worse than the first one they sent me. The sides of the canopy aren't taut, in part due to the type of fabric used. When it rains, the sides of the canopy fill with water and sag. I tried fastening the sides with tie wraps, but even that didn't work. And, now, because the fabric is already stretched from the weight of previous rains, every time it rains, the canopy sides fill with water. I purchased this canopy for our vacation rental gazebo, so it matters to me that it perform as it should. But, even if I had purchased it for myself, I'd be VERY unhappy with the quality of both canopies. I contacted Gardenwinds about this canopy in January of this year (2015), to see if they would replace it, since it was even more defective than the first. They didn't respond to my complaint at all, so I e-mailed them again in April and sent photos. This month (May), I finally received a response, but they refuse to replace the second defective canopy. They weren't ugly about it, but they flat out refuse. I gave them 2 stars based on the TrustPilot guidelines, but frankly, I would gladly give them a 1 star. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A REPLACEMENT CANOPY FROM GARDENWINDS! THE QUALITY OF THE CANOPIES IS TERRIBLE!

Products not as advertised/pictured

"Item arrived different than pictured, and is at time of writing still the wrong product on their website. Customer service was unhelpful, trying to charge me for their error. Terrible company, you're better off getting OEM even at a higher cost than going through the trouble of dealing with this company. "

Horrible Product

The canopy did not fit properly to begin with and after just one mild summer it faded, the grommets rusted, it mildewed and despite "riplock" technology it tore badly. What a disappointment!

Garden Winds RIP LOCK technology is bad!!

Canopy Started ripping during 1st season and by the 2nd, all connectors were ripping. Previous GW canopy's, without RL technology lasted longer so I was expecting this product to be great. What a disappointment!

GW did offer to repair the canopy or send me a 1 time replacement. I took the replacement but I expect that one to rip quickly also.

Not Happy

Canopy was delivered quickly. However, it did not fit - and I was pretty upset considering I had clearly provided dimensions to them over the phone. After paying for shipping it back found they had deducted shipping, customs, etc. from the refund, essentially one third. Not happy at all.

terrible product

My replacement canopy lasted less than one season in Tennessee. The color almost co.pletely faded out and it has rips at every velcro strap. Customer service says my issue may be because I have the incorrect top? It fit my frame perfectly? Besides that would have nothing to do with fading out?. My first (original top) lasted three seasons and never faded. I would never recommend gtardenwinds products.

BAD BAD Customer Service! Lauren is Horrible!

Purchased new rip lock replacement gazebo top from Garden Winds, I had high expectations due to there hard line advertising on its strength and durability. Most cheaper tops last about 2 to 3 summers. Unfortunately this lasted 3 months! I called spoke to Robbie (nice person!). Told me to send pictures. I did. Called back and said they would sell me another top at 50% off! I asked to speak with a manager and I got LAUREN. She didn't listen to a word I said. Mind you I was not pissed off at this point. She basically read lines from a cue card or stated their normal rap. Not good enough. Why would I want a product that ripped in 3 months at 50% off. Still calm at this point. Asked if I could speak to someone over her that might actually listen and possibly humor me or resolve this matter. She said she is the top. It was like a bad Seinfeld episode! I said do you own the company? She said no. I said, Then there is still someone over you. She said no she is the person to talk to and hung up. Now I am pissed off! I"m from Jersey and we don't play that way! Called back and got some other so called Manager. She already had an attitude. Asked to speak to someone else that is above these two losers, just not in those terms! She said Email Michael the CEO, you can"t talk to him he is a CEO. Asked last name and phone number and she said he had none! Ok so I guess his name is Michael None! Yes I sound annoyed because I was at this point. Anyway I plan on filing complaints to as many places as I can including the BBB. And sending reviews to every site I can. I don"t believe this means anything to this company because if it did they would have handled it much better. I really wish I wasn't typing this and my gazebo lasted at least two summers. That's bad for the advertised rip lock material, but at least its better then 3 months. I found the owners name online Michael Yim. Its not Michael None afterall! I can't say he is horrible because I wasn't allowed to speak to him, Robbie is very nice. Lauren is a witch with a bad attitude and I would say limited educationally. I know some people may have had a good experience but I definitely did not. I wished I did. From my awful experience with this company I would not buy from them. And if you call and get Lauren hang up! She will understand, she is good at it. She is the DIRECTOR OF THE CALL CENTER or really DIRECTOR OF I DID NOT GET MY GED SO HERE I AM! Sorry after hard days work I did not need the BS I got from her. I feel better already! BUYER BEWARE!

Their Trade in program is a scam

Dealing with this company is frustrating and a waste of your time. First I send an email Att: Michael Yim and I hear nothing back. So I wait a week and send an inquiry asking if they were still in business as I had not heard from him,
I receive an email from Michael Yim saying he was sorry that Amy was bogged down with other trade-in requests and that my trade has been approved. Amy would be in touch to arrange shorty.
When after a couple of weeks I do not hear anything I send Michael another email asking what was happening. A couple of days later I get an email from Amy say...gee we're sorry we are working with someone else.
Very unprofessional company. Don't waste your time

Defective and poor quality product

I received a replacement canopy with rusted hooks and stained poor quality fabric (not waterproof and very thin). When I requested a refund, they did not refund the total price I paid (40$ of shipment not refund) because I did not send a picture before returning the product!

NOT WATERPROOF AT ALL!

One thing I have noticed is that Garden Winds only prints the 5-star reviews on their site! The two reviews I have written (at their request) never seem to see the light of day (shocking!). We were unhappy with our cover because it turned out to be not waterproof at all, something you'd think a gazebo cover would be! It's not even water-resistant, as one summer rain and our patio- furniture and all- got soaked. The gazebo material is also much thinner than the original, so it probably also doesn't offer as much protection from the sun. We'd return it but it is such a hassle to get it on and off, plus we had to add some gromits to make it fit, which I'm sure kills the warrenty. I don't know what we're going to do with it this winter, not that it will last the whole season anyway. I don't know why you'd even sell a gazebo cover that isn't waterproof; it's not like we all live in the Sahara.

REPLACEMENT CANOPY

I didnt even have my canopy op for a full year never saw snow and was shaded and the canopy did not hold up.Gardenwinds claims that it is 25% thicker but that is not the case. I sent in a complaint to the company and still waiting on a response. Do not buy here and save your money

Very Disappointed

I purchased the 1 x 10 X 10 Universal Replacement Canopy (Two-Tiered) - BEIGE (CNPY412-BEIGE) in May of 2009 for a gazebo I purchased in 2007. Although the price was rather high, (almost the cost of the original complete gazebo) they promised that the product was 25% stronger than other replacement canopies or the original. Also, the measurements of my gazebo frame were exactly the same as those on the diagram for the replacement canopy.
When I received the canopy, I put it up and immediately noticed how poorly it fit. It sagged deeply and the upper tier looked like a mushroom. I checked the packaging again to make sure I received what I ordered. I should have returned it on the spot, but decided to live with it. It made it through one Minnesota summer then was taken down and stored for the winter. I put it up again late this spring (2010). With in one month, without any strong winds, it tore at two of the velcro straps causing rips 6 inches long in the canvas. I sent an e-mail to ask for a replacement, but no response. I sent a second request three weeks later and was told that since it was outside of the 6 month warranty, they would not replace the canopy or refund my purchase. In a nut shell. I bought an expensive, ill-fitting canopy that lasted 5 months and was first ignored then rejected by the company. My advice to others; shop elsewhere.
