I will never buy again any furniture from Gardner White and let everyone know about predatory methods they use with their Synchrony Bank. I was scammed by both Synchrony Bank and Gardner White. I bought my furniture a year ago and the salesperson saidI have 2 years interest free. It turned out it was one year promotion that ended in April 2024, so they charged me 34.99% back from the original purchase date, a total of $1600 in interest alone. This is not acceptable at all. Gardner White and Synchrony Bank prey on families and run the biggest scam and with a furniture that is not even worth what we pay for!

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Seriously, if you value your time, money and sanity, do NOT give these people the time of day!!!
Their merchandise is overpriced and they force you to purchase a normally $35-40 mattress cover for close to $100 so you can be part of their “pledge” program so if you don’t like their mattress, they charge you restocking fees, $200 and this mattress cover. The “pledge” nonsense is so that you can be allowed to return the mattress.
NO ONE called/texted when they said they would on the day they promised delivery. I had to chase them down, found out myself my mattress was not going to be delivered on the day they promised. I was lied to numerous times by numerous customer service agents about why mattress wasn’t being delivered, lied to about delivery windows, and just overall awful customer service. I even had one agent “laugh it off” and say like, yeah, everyone gets screwed over eventually…. Ummmm, did you really just speak to me that way?
***How this crackpot company is still in business is beyond me.***
Hey Gardner White, instead of throwing loads of money into tacky, annoying ads that everyone hates you actually invest in hiring and training proper customer service and logistics people so you don’t leave angry, frustrated customers left and right who NEVER want to do business with you again?
We just bought a massive home that needs loads of furniture. Guess who gets NOT ONE CENT FROM US now?! It seems your company has sad values and it shows in how poorly you value customer satisfaction and loyalty.
I will spend the rest of my days informing those, who ask me who I used for furniture purchases, to NEVER do business with your company because Gardner White, is quite frankly, one of the WORST retail experiences of my adult life!!!
the furniture is garbage! I've had my new bedroom set for only 8 months & it has started cracking on the side panels of my nightstands. basically, Gardner white said TOO BAD, you didn't purchase a warranty. I also tried to exchange a piece of furniture. I called within the time frame. but the info was never put in the system. so, I was told. When i finally got ahold of someone at customer service, again. TOO BAD!
There's a reason why Gardner-White is a furniture store that happens to sell beds and they barely excel at selling good furniture. I came in to purchase my first-ever sofa in life and a new bed to replace my extra firm mattress. I worked with a guy who sold me on a Beautyrest Driftwood Hybrid Queen Plush mattress. There was not a single moment where he told me how much pain I'd be in as my body would start to sink into this mattress. Also, I know now after learning the hard way that if you are over a weight threshold, you should not get anything plush. You should stick with medium firm to firm to offer you support. Not only that I was talked into buying some very expensive pillows that only contributed to the neck pain. 4 days in, I knew this was a terrible choice. I woke up to neck, back, and joint pain that eventually required a prescription for a muscle relaxer and multiple doses of ibuprofen and Tylenol. Needless to say, NO ONE helped me or offered me anything UNTIL I called my sales guy Boris who called me with "good news". The good news was that in order for me to re-select, I had to not only purchase their mattress protector (the cheapest being around $89) but succumb to a 10% pickup fee ($100), a restocking fee ($200) AND keep the bed for SIXTY DAYS (60).
If I am already having to medicate to even go about my life, why in the actual world, would anyone want to keep lying in a bed so painful?
As I explained why I needed an immediate solution, of course, my sales guy kept referring to corporate policy and how "people" try to play the system.
Here's a note to Gardner-White:
-Focus on the customer and it should be done on a case-by-case basis.
-If you truly cannot stand by your guarantee or policies, do not offer it, and please do not sell beds. -There is no reason why sincere and genuine consumers should have to go through the insane rigmarole of speaking to several people to find a reasonable solution.
-Empower your associates to make decisions on behalf of the business because THEY know who they're dealing with first-hand.
-Train your staff more appropriately on CRMs and the use of technology and efficiency when placing orders.
Needless to say, I will never, and I mean never shop with Gardner-White or its affiliates again. I will never recommend you all to anyone and will share this story in perpetuity.
I consider the $1000 spent on the insufferable mattress and ill-informed sale as the tuition needed to learn a very valuable lesson.

We bought a living room set 15 months ago and it's rippling, lumpy, and pilling already. We were told by the salesman that the protection plan was awesome and covered "everything!" so we felt confident buying the set. We filed a claim for these issued and were denied because they said the issues were normal wear and tear. We have to buy a new couch already, going straight in the trash and will never go back to GW because the protection plan is useless.
Once the "deal" was made they wont call me back any longer. I have called three times to speak to whom sold me my product and three times they stated we are writing a note to have them call you back. I never once got a call, almost a week later.
My suggestion, shop elsewhere, bad customer service
I went to Gardner White to purchase a new mattress. The mattress I was looking at was a medium to firm. The whole experience was nice. They were delivered next day no problem. Until I went to lay on the mattress. I hadn't looked at my receipt. The salesman had put in an extra furm mattress. And now I've spent over 700 dollars for rock hard mattress feels like laying on stones but I've got to take responsibility for not looking !t my receipt. I'll always pay attention now.

Purchased a recliner and the Platinum Advantage warranty. The chair was poorly made and was not fit to sit on. Called to have padding added to the chair to see if that would help. Unfortunately, it just created more problems. The chair was slanting to the left when you sit in it. I was unable to even use the chair. Called and had service numerous times. Told mechanism needed changed and that would correct the problem. Changed mechanism and it did nothing to the correction of the problem. Called again and service said that's the way it's suppose to be go to the store and check out the recliner. I did and it was nothing like my recliner. Called again and they said the mechanism needed replacing again. This time they took it to the shop. Bought it back a week later and no change to the slanting. The delivery staff saw the problem and I refused the recliner and they took it back. Again they brought it out a week later and the same delivery staff told service the problem was not fixed. They brought to me and I refused again. Now they just returned to me again and slanting is adjusted but not totally but they raise the seat cushion so much the adjustable head rest now pushes my shoulders not my head. Still waiting to hear back from service staff. Can't believe they treat their customers this way. Still not resolved waiting to hear from service department. Asked to speak to managers numerous times and never a call back. Service came out again today 10/7/2023, i showed the slant in the seat again. The head rest has broken also. The front feet were brought back with no floor guards and has scratched my floor. It has been 6 months of not being able to sit in this chair. Now told they will contact me.

I have had one of the worst experiences with both a product and customer service and it was with Gardner White. AVOID GARDNER WHITE unless you are ok with low quality, terrible customer service, and PAYING a 25% RESTOCKING fee even if the product is absolutely unacceptable. We were scammed. The product in the showroom was decent quality but the product that was delivered, a sofa and loveseat, were bad. The cushions were uncomfortable like cheap foam and the fabric was separating in multiple places. The frame of the couch was creaking and we are not overweight people. They DO NOT disclose the 25% restocking fee on any of the paperwork. BE AWARE, Gardner White will keep 1/4 of your money when you are not ok with their low quality product. Other competitors like VALUE CITY ONLY CHARGE up to a 15% restocking fee. I spoke with Mikayla at their corporate customer service number who was supposedly a manager but she failed to provide any resolution or at least a lower percentage to restock given the terrible product.
I went into the Canton MI, GW looking for a mattress. Walked in and was greeted immediately by a nice guy named Troy, he showed me a few options and it wasn’t long before he pointed out the Serta iComfort hybrid! He went through all the features and in no time at all I walked out owning an amazing bed!
Delivery was a breeze! In and out and they were very respectful of my home and belongings!
This experience was probably the best one I’ve had from start to finish!!

Their furniture is not bad. The thing that really drives me crazy is their tv commercials. They are loud and obnoxious. I always have to mute them. Please fire your ad agency or stop that terrible music background.
25% restocking fee within 24 hours of purchase.. this is a scam. -- No wonder why so many furniture companies like this go out of business very often.. they don't have any ethics or respect for customers. You are not 3 feet in the store entrance when the salesperson jumps on you with a big smile in the face.. during the whole tour they offer al kind of credit, protection plan..bla bla.. but conveniently avoid to mention that " by the way we keep a quarter of your money for any exchange" .. never in my life will buy anything from this store
On 9/29/22 I received a sofa from Gardner-White Furniture. On 9/30/22 I contacted them to start a return process. These people are running like chickens trying not to be to be helpful and process the return. I sent a e-mail on their web-order email a month ago. I made at least ten phone call. Do not buy from this company. They are not honest and will take your hard earned money and run with it. Stay away from Gardner-White. I had a seven day window for return. I tried to return within 24 hour of the delivery. No such luck. Good customer service is hard to find. Companies just want to make a quick buck these days. Also a request for return and pick-up was sent on Sept. 29,2022 to web orders. Several phone calls were made . No one ever returned my calls ever. I spoke to Faith at TOV Furniture. She told me that Gardner-White would return my call. Still waiting on that phone call. I followed all the right steps and no one has contacted me. This is a horrible way to do business. I should have read the reviews before making a purchase with Gardner-White. What is that saying "buyer beware".
Minus a half star because the box came all beat up and I got nervous to the point of taking pictures and preparing myself to battle for a new shipment. But holy cow, the chairs were flawless and shipping was FAST! Like 2 days to get them. And the price was outstanding, literally 1/2 price versus what Ashley was asking. We have the ashley ralene dining set and my wife wanted 2 more chairs. GW's price was unbeatable. I couldn't be happier. I almost feel bad not giving 5 stars.
