Honestly outstanding service! Really impressed!! I forgot my suitcase on the train at Gatwick airport (yes very silly), went to one of the staff members, expecting to hear something like ‘nothing... See more

When the train isn't running, you shouldn't sell tickets for it! Because of railworks (which is fine) there weren't any Gatwick Express trains, but I bought an expensive express ticket for 19 pounds b... See more

Trains cancelled without notice

Beware. GE is now regularly cancelling off-peak trains on weekends to save money. You only get the warning after you purchase (outrageously expensive) tickets and arrive on the platform. Taking a car next time. Not worth missing the plane and stress.

Quick & Ok. Little Expensive

This is an ok way to travel into London from the airport. But, it is quite expensive in my opinion. We were told it might have been cheaper to get a slower train, but not sure how accurate that was. Anyway, we wanted to get into London quickly as we only had a couple of days. It is what it is and it did the job. No real grumbles with the company. Very efficient, but just a little expensive.

Could be better

Well it is great to have though #t of this service unfortunately I do think that it is to expensive for the service! I'd rather pay 10£ an use the normal service ok it takes half an hour longer but at least I know at that the train will arrive mostly on time! 3 time I took Gatwick express to go quicker well it took the same time as a normal train really slow for the express.. and nearly missed my flight..

Terrible service

I try as much as I can to avoid using your services because of the expensive rates that you are offering. Unfortunately, this morning I was unlucky enough to book another ticket in order to arrive as soon as possible in London. Not only the train was late but the carriages were so crowded that we had to stand-up during the entire trip.

Deteriorating service

Over the last 5-6 years I have weekly been using Gatwick Express when commuting for work from Gatwick Airport into London. The service has gradually deteriorated which is impacting the journey time and my ability to schedule meetings in London accurately.

i) The price charged is a premium price for what is turning out to become a mediocre product. What is also a bit perplexing is that customers from Brighton, going through Gatwick Airport on the same train are paying much less – even though they get the same service and more importantly occupy space/seats in the carriages;
ii) The word ‘Express’ has become an oxymoron, as the train service in the morning is regularly 5-30mins delayed. This is a nuisance and not acceptable for me as a commuter;
iii) On top of the delays, there seem to be several gating points where the tickets are checked (3 in total) – and they delay at Victoria Station in front of the turnstiles with a home printed is often very significant (on top of the journey delay!)

The service (product) is not satisfactory and causes a lot of grief and disturbance to the working day.

Overpriced for what it is

I've seen a significant drop in service quality at Gatwick express within last few years. I used to be able to buy my ticket on board of the train. Not anymore. You have to queue for 15 min at Gatwick just to buy a ticket. Gatwick express is late by 5 to 30 min on a regular basis. This service seized to be an 'express' as far as I'm concerned. A Southern train will do the same service for you but only much cheaper.
