Just bought having exchanged my old Alesis Nitro max drums. The ultimate is on a different level. Fram is so much better than the max, in fact everything is. The onboard drum sounds are a little better. Plus, due to the stronger and higher stand there is plenty of room and then some. Extra symbols with the latest design sound very good. Having a separate Hi hat was my main reason for buying. The whole kit looks very classy indeed. Base drum is very good and can be used with double base pedals. Not that I have them but nice to know for the future. Gear4music gave me a great price on my old kit, Nitro max. Thus, allowing me to buy some extra bits and not have to worry about selling my old kit privately. Amazing service
