This is the real deal. I took a punt because it's very cheap for a 1073 mic pre, I did not expect the level of sound quality. I'm genuinely shocked. You can make clean mics pre's that are studio quality and cost effective, but making one with (2) transformers, rotary switching for accurate stereo capture, a genuine neutrik's jack on the front. The Engineers at music tribe have either, a) achieved magic, or b) have just shown the entire industry how much they are ripping customers off. To pull this off, at this price point, take a serious level of skill. Only 4 star on quality because it's not yet had the chance to stand the test of time... Let's hope it doesn't last as long... For Neve's sake.
