Unfortunately just recently I bought a cornet gig bag which on the outset looked great. Until I noticed that the thin foam area within the cornet storage compartment was torn but only where the water key sits and rubs. It began as a small hole to a large ripped piece. I've since reinforced the area with duck tape and dense foam (which should have been supplied from the manufacturers) In my opinion it's not really fit for purpose.
I bought this as I like everything together and so many cases that come with cornets have no storage and all you can get in is a bottle of valve oil and a cloth. This gig bag has it all, it’s well made and well padded to protect your cornet along with loads of storage room which will take sheet music and practice books etc and there’s also enough room for a mute or two. Within the storage compartments there are more compartments where you can securely store your mouthpieces. It’s got a comfortable carry handle and also shoulder straps, the whole bag is very well put together and will last for years to come that I’m sure. If like me and you like everything in its place this is the way to go and I can highly recommend one.
