I used to rely on old-fashioned beeswax for the pegs on my violin and it used to work a treat but I lost it. Peg paste seemed a good idea, although I was very disappointed that my pegs slipped more than before I used it. Maybe I'm using too much or not enough so perhaps it might settle over time.
