I decided to upgrade my vocal mic from a trusty sm58 to this Sennheiser mic. I had heard great things about it and when it arrived it didn't disappoint. It gives my female vocals a much crisper, cleaner sound and brings out some of the subtleties that were lost in my old mic. The different sound profile meant we *did* need to do a lot of tweaking of my vocals at the first gig where I used it to prevent feedback, but now that's all set up it sounds amazing!

Finally! A mic that does the job! Choosing a mic in a rock/metal band can be demanding. Loud amplifiers and drums can make it hard for a mic to perform at its best. I was using a Shure SM58 prior to this one and I was having issues with feedback and in result, I would limit my vocals to the point where I could barely hear them from the P.A. The Sennheiser E945, limits background noises(ie guitars, drums) to the point where I can crank up the vocals without feedback! I can finally hear my voice coming through the P.A. The sound is not as bright as the SM58 but it definitely can cut through the mix. If you're a rock/metal singer, not using IEM, but floor monitors and not the loudest vocalist, this mic is for you.

A superior all round microphone. My band exclusively uses e945s and e935s. Everyone loves the clarity, build quality and resistance to feedback.
