Gearbooker is a great service for filmmakers. I was able to rent gear for a production at less than half the normal rental rate. The filmmaker also gave me som great advice and additional gear for the shoot.

Verification process was very easy and came through the next day. Booking was a breeze and the gear I booked was perfect for what I needed.

It's unbelievable that a process so long and tedious like the verification, which honestly took me weeks, can be rejected without them having to give you any reason whatsoever.
As many have said their customer service is terrible and basically non existent.

This was such a disappointment, i will have to try and look for another similar website.

I used the platform for the first time after being a user of Wedio before. The process of setting up my account and getting verified was a bit arduous and I didn't like that I have to share my home address although I was renting on behalf of my employer.

The process of renting the gear and means of communicating with the owner was quite straightforward.

However, on the day of the rental, I received an email in the morning that I would need to bring my passport. I had already left the house by that time. Hence, I had to leave work early to pick up my passport at home and then head back to the opposite end of the city to pick up the gear. It would be better to receive that info 24 h in advance.
