Love my Geme

Love my Geme! Did have an issue with the motor and they were kind enough to ship another unit! I don’t have to worry about dumping smelly cat poop from 15 cats because it goes in my unit and writhing 24 hours I can use it to amend the soil in my organic garden and it has really helped my plants over the last couple years. Probably the best part about the composting is there’s no smell……no one can tell that I have this in my kitchen! I also use it for all of my scraps instead of the disposal…..makes life so much easier and mess/waste free!!!!!

Geme.bio $1,000 composter failed twice – replacement promised but never delivered

I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before purchasing.

I purchased a GEME composter and within just over a year, the tumbler motor failed shortly after the original warranty expired. Since I had already invested heavily in the unit (around $1,000 total), I chose to purchase a replacement motor directly from the company for $199. The replacement was advertised as coming with a 2-year warranty, which gave me some confidence to proceed.

Unfortunately, the replacement motor also failed—this time right around the 12-month mark.

I contacted the company expecting support under the stated warranty. They did respond and even provided me with an Order ID for a replacement, which initially seemed promising. However, the replacement was never shipped, and despite follow-ups, the issue has not been resolved.

At this point, I am left with a non-functioning composter and no meaningful support from the company after the sale. Having two motors fail in such a short period raises serious concerns about product reliability, and the lack of follow-through on a warranty replacement is even more concerning.

I understand that products can fail, but how a company handles those failures is what matters most. In this case, the experience has been disappointing.

Summary:

Original motor failed just after warranty
Paid $199 for replacement motor with a 2-year warranty
Replacement motor failed at ~12 months
Company issued an Order ID for replacement but never shipped it
No resolution despite follow-up

Given the cost of this product and the repeated failures, I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider long-term reliability and customer support before purchasing.

Chinese Cheap Junk

Scam! don't buy.
It is not a Belgium product at all.
typical Chinese cheap junk.
THe machine work ok for the first 2 months, then start making noise, then motor is broken. Customer support send replacement, failed again, it turns out useless and too expensive to maintain and become
Belgium office is empty address, the microbe bag is a joke. It did breakdown, but they are never compost. if you use it for plants, plants will die soon. They argues the compost is unfinished, come on! This even worse than the dryers. This kind of product is quite common in Korea, and looks innovative to Europe and the North America. Only stupid people trust it and but.
