If you’re thinking of using this company I’d advise you not to. They took a lot of money to convert our house in the Lake District. After being recommended by a designer we had worked with and liked who was project managing Gemini gave us a quote and a time of 3-6 months 18 months later we brought in our own electrician to help them who immediately switched all the electrics off and told us he was amazed the house hadn’t burnt down. We fired them on the spot and subsequently discovered they had at no point been in touch with building control who came and failed everything they’d done. Our new builder who has had to redo absolutely everything they’d done said he’d never seen work so bad. We hired a solicitor to help and in trying to go through their insurance to get some of our money back discovered that despite saying they are licensed and insured on their website they are not. There seems little chance of us getting any money back (our project manager refunded all her fee) but I feel strongly that we don’t want anyone else to go through our pain. The builders no longer answer any messages and we’re at a loss as to next steps. Avoid if you’re thinking of hiring them.
