Total scam

Do not do business with Gem Numbers, or Steven Emerson.

He is a liar and a scammer. The other reviews here for them are true, my experience has been the same.

Professional scammers

Professional Fraudsters. They lure you into thinking you will miss out on a nice telephone number by sending you regular emails. Then they offer you a one off deal of maybe a few hundred pounds. They have an incomplete website, no real landline number or address. Do not transfer your money into their account as you cannot get it back once done. They even give you a reference customer to call if you doubt them, maybe a solicitor or someone that might be a genuine previous customer with a genuine company that they dealt with years ago or possibly part of the scam. If you really fall for it then pay by card or PayPal as you might be able to claim your money back this way. DO NOT DO A BANK TRANSFER!

PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS, AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This company are complete fraudsters, I would avoid at all costs. Our 0845 000 1111 number was managed by a company called telenumbers, they went into administration and GEM numbers (gemnumbers.co.uk) were the company that took over our account. They said we needed to pay them £200 to port over the telephone number to the new company. We paid this and they said the process would be seamless.

About 10 days later I noticed our 0845 000 1111 was no longer being re-directed to our landline. I called and emailed gem numbers over several days, I even spoke to the police, ofcom etc. and there is nothing anyone can do. Our 0845 number has been stolen. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, this company are professional scammers.

Now all our clients that have known us by our number 0845 000 1111 can no longer get hold of us, they probably think we have gone bust. Right now our number worth £2500 is no longer in our control and they will probably sell it onto to another company.

I cannot stress this enough, avoid Gemnumbers (gemnumbers.co.uk)
