I was thrilled to discover that GermanDeli.com ships nationwide! I wanted to surprise my German relatives who live here in the United States with some of their favorite foods from home, so I ordered sausage, sauerkraut, and fresh German bread. The package arrived in great condition, and my family was absolutely delighted. It brought back wonderful memories and gave them a little taste of their beloved homeland.

If you’re ever in the Huntington Beach area, be sure to visit their charming European market, bakery, and deli. The store is filled with aisle after aisle of authentic German and European specialties, including candies, cookies, baking ingredients, cooking spices, imported beers and wines, fresh baked goods, deli meats, and so many hard-to-find products. It’s a wonderful shopping experience and feels like stepping into a little piece of Europe.

I love German Deli!! Their meats, sausages, cheeses are amazing! They have great customer service. Could not recommend them more.

Shipping was fast and packaged very neatly. Everything i received from the cold cuts to their homestyle sauerkraut was stellar. Stellar food Stellar service I don't know what the other reviews are talking about!

Late order. No real way to check status of the order. And they refuse to answer emails or and answer their phone.
I would NEVER place another order here again.

I have been purchasing merchandise online from GermanDeli.com during the past 12 years. However, they really disappointed me because they recently sent me a package 2 weeks after I placed the order. The bad news is that the package contained INCORRECT MERCHANDISE.
And, much worse, I tried incessantly to call and left messages but nobody returned my calls. I also sent emails requesting to return the merchandise and get a full refund for my order over $100.00, but these cheap guys only refunded $9.00.
Their SERVICE IS HORRIBLE.

I went to the store in Huntington Beach and spoke with Kevin. Ordered a custom cake that exceeded my expectations. Everyone loved it. Thank you for the great job Kevin!

Before my review I read this about GermanDeli.com, "It's not just about the German food. It's about the memories!"
Well, I never got the food, but each time I receive one of their incessant emails, (despite my efforts to unsubscribe), it brings back very negative memories!
I was planning for a big Bratwurst party in Florida and wrote them twice about details as to which sort of brats to order. Never did I receive a response. I tried calling them on the phone several times, but was always met with a several-minute message touting their horn about up-and-coming events, and the 5,000 foods they offer. I think that they are their own biggest fans. One good thing came out of this. I discovered that P----x makes some excellent brats... right here in my town.

Customer service was terrible. I paid $147.00 for my order $30.00 was shipping. Every item I ordered had no date! Two packages arrived with the seal broken and air in the packages. My Canadian bacon arrived was supposed to be 3lb they sent 1lb and charged me $29.00. I told them about it, I was supposed to get 20.00 refunded to my PayPal card they only refunded 10.00 I told them, and they called me a liar. I have proof from the picture I took of my PayPal acct. So charged me $19.00 for 1lb of Canadian bacon. I told them none of my meat arrived with dates, what are the dates, I was told, they do not have to have dates on any products that are shipped, I was shocked that they told me that. I told them about the packages that has seals broke they said its good, just happened when it was shipped. They said I had a $25.00 credit in store. I said why would I ever purchase from you people again with all the issues you have caused. I told them to keep their money they must need it more than me. I had to throw all $110.00 dollars away. Please do not purchase from these people they are committing fraud, and you will get sick or lose your money.

A good range of German products but I have a few issues:
1) Can be found on Amazon and other sites cheaper considering the postage .
2) My last order had products that were well past their Best Before date, and when I asked them about this it didn't seem to be an issue. Guess it wont kill me hey.

Stay away from the GermanDeli.com market at the Old World German Village in Huntington Beach. The store mistreats paying customers and charges more than what shows on the sales tag so check your receipt.

I purchased some items including Dalfour jam which had a sales tag price of $6.98. After we left with our purchases, I checked my receipt and noticed they overcharged me $2.00 for the jam at $8.98. I went back explaining the overcharge. The person at the register said she needed to get the manager. I waited for the manager who saw the overcharge and said she needed to get another manager. After waiting some more, the second manager sees that the sales tag shows $6.98, tells an employee to remove the tag and then tells me the next time you come in, you need to pay $8.98. Even though the store made the mistake of overcharging me and I had to wait for 2 managers to process a simple $2.00 refund, now I was being lectured to by the manager. I replied that if you reflect the sales tag price accurately, then I will pay the price shown. She then proceeded to keep talking down to me as if I had made a mistake and done something wrong rather than actually providing me the refund for the overcharge. She left the store saying it's only $2.00 and there are homeless people in this world. Not sure why that is relevant when the store collected $2.00 more than it should have. No reason for the manager to be lecturing and rude when it was the store's mistake. On top of that, I had to go back again because the manager did not actually accomplish the one thing she was supposed to do which is process the refund for the overcharge. I asked to speak with the manager and then the first manager came out and was able to process the refund for the overcharge which makes me wonder why the first manager didn't refund me for the overcharge in the first place? While the staff seemed fine, the lecturing manager is condescending and treats paying customers very poorly.

The customer service is practically non existent…as I ordered with a specific deadline in mind the order form stated shipping in ONE business day. I believed it.. until I started checking the order on the website and realized nothing changed in the fulfillment center. I sent emails,tried the online form to get information to no avail. After patiently waiting for over a week I contacted germandeli and finally received an answer. Apparently there is a labor shortage in the fulfillment center…..but Chad was able to update the shipping to 2nd day….so it wasn’t even processed yet.It arrived at the last possible minute…but as I told Chad in the chat ..there are many more German food websites available to me with real customer support. It was worth a try…but not again .
Ps: Placed an order with yummy bazaar yesterday and received shipping and tracking information an hour ago !

Absolutely shocking service, after DHL failed to deliver my food parcel on the nominated date (and having been charged £6 for the privilege!). I received another email from DHL to say it would come on the next WORKING day which means I may see it four days later, by which time all the perishable goods will have to be binned.

I emailed the German Deli with no response, tried ringing them but the phone just advises you to email and then cuts you off. Eventually I spoke to a lady today who was incredibly rude to me, saying there is nothing they can do about it...that was it. I said I wouldn't be able to safely eat all of the meats as they will have been sitting in a box for 4 days and she told me not to worry, it's wintertime so they will stay cold!

I expect a refund from them for all this, but judging by the response I got from the Deli and other people's comments on here, I doubt I will get very far.

I really hope that they can afford to lose custom with their 'so what' attitude, since I for one will never use them again.

These people owe me 100 dollars for the past 3 years. They cancelled my order I paid for and after several emails to remind them, d. they ( about a year ago) promised to correct this problem. Nothing happened.
I trusted them. Do not support these people, they are not honest.

I recently placed an order which was due for delivery yesterday (they charge a whopping £8 next day delivery fee) but did not show up nor did DHL provide any information on what the hold up was nor a new ETA. Since I had ordered meat and dairy products which would not keep unrefrigerated for this length of time I contacted German Deli for a refund for these items only (not least since this was now the second time that the order had been delayed). Rude Andrea fobbed me off by telling me the items would still be fine for consumption. She was unwilling to issue a refund unless I would return the items at my cost. So asking me to waste even more money on the failings of their delivery partner.... Let's hope that Brexit will take care of this company over the coming months and they will see where their arrogance gets them

I am so happy to have found German Deli they have a great selection of goods. Today I received my second order from them and am again very impressed with the meticulous way everything was packed.
Communication by email and telephone was excellent.

Rip off prices and terrible customer service.

Terrible customer service. Order was damaged so I refused shipment. Called and emailed over 10+ times and when finally got a response they said they would credit and never did. So tired of following up with them and getting no where. I will never order again - beware. I do not recommend at all.

I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering from this company! Ordered an item 2 1/2 months ago and still have not heard one word back from my 3 emails I sent asking about said order!!
Shame. I am calling my credit card company today and disputing the charge.

Horrible company. Even after 6 weeks, no trace of my order. They are blaming DHL and DHL is playing deaf ! German store pretends package is in US with post office despite post office saying they only have label, never received the package. Germandelistore is extremely bad in responding too. Took 3 emails before they even responded! Very bad company.
