Gessi products

A terrible company to deal with and I don’t trust their UK dealers or service centres either.
I have a Gessi hot tap. It’s a few years old now, so admittedly out of warranty.
The tap started to leak so I tried to get a new head valve for it. First I had terrible difficulty in identifying the correct part with them
Then I was told it was out of stock.
I was then advised by Gessi of the part number and a price of £21 + VAT. They told me to contact their UK stockist (Abaco) who quoted £96 + VAT + £7.50 postage.
They are tight lipped as to why the vast difference in price. ‘It’s a later part and they are not compatible’ is all I have got from them. Which tells me nothing. I’m an engineer, so I would understand any explanation they have.
In summary. I would stay away from Gessi products as the backup, should anything go wrong, seems to me unacceptable.
Not sure yet if Gessi’s technical team are completely inept, or their UK dealers are part of the ‘rip off Britain’ culture.
