***BUYER BEWARE ***

***BUYER BEWARE *** I purchased a 20K kit from Novitec for my Ferrari and all it did was set off yellow engine warning lights. Ferrari techs spent five months trying in vain to get it working with little or no help from Novitec North America or Germany. When it was all said and done I was out 35K and had to return my car to stock and remove all the Novitec parts to which Novitec has of yet refused to refund me. They are knowingly selling these kits don’t work as advertised, it’s pure fraud on their part.

Has pretty green lights, but......

Has pretty green lights, but that's about it.
It actually slows down your internet connection. Did not boost my signal whatsoever. Took over my WiFi, wouldn't let me elect anyone else's WiFi. Had to pull the plug on it literally before I could select anyone else's WiFI. Like I said, it has pretty lights, but that's it!! Made of Very Cheap Plastic, for $59.99 you'd think it would be better built. Customer service is really bad, they don't want to honour their money back guarantee. They eventually did, but withheld $9.99 as sort of handling fee. A Total Scam, Stay Away. Buyer Beware!

They deserve a no star

They deserve a no star. This is a scam. Do not buy it. Me and my friend bought it in the beginning of March and we are still waiting for our money back even with item send back to them. They tell you they will send a check to your address which is another scam because you never get the check. My friend is waiting for 3 months and I have send them so many emails and waiting for a refund. These people are very unethical.

It is a complete SCAM

It is a complete SCAM! I was dumb enough to buy 2 because they said that the more the better and then when you buy one and go to check out, a screen pops up and gives you a discount to buy one more for $34.99, then again yet another pop up to buy more even cheaper. I figured, well if they don’t work, they have (so they say) a hassle free 30 day money back guarantee so, nothing to worry about right…. wrong.. So they finally arrive about a week and half later, I tried them immediately, didn’t want to lose out on that 30 day money back guarantee in case they didn’t work. Well, you guessed it, they didn’t work. I plugged them in just like the instructions said, and checked the speed. It was only 14.88. My own internet speed is 49.54. Well, I said to myself, I’ll plug in the other one in and connect it and that should be good… nope.. Turns out you can only use one at a time, so what’s the sense in buying more than one? And they say that it extends to places that are a distance away from the router, well, that’s not true either. I went to the garage to try it and I didn’t get “any” signal at all.
Sooo, here’s the best part. After emailing them asking for my “Hassle Free” return, they try to give me a 10% discount to keep them.. I said no thank you. So, they email me back again and tell me this time they will give me a 30% discount if I keep them and I told them why would I keep something that doesn’t work. Soo, here it comes,,,, they say okay well, you have to pay to have them retuned. WHAT? What happened to Hassle Free money back guarantee???? And to top it off, not only do “I” have to pay to return something that they know doesn’t work, I have to wait 30 days for it to be inspected to see if it was used. Because if it was used, you don’t get your money back. Wait, how are you supposed to know if something works if you don’t try it. Mind you this all was in a matter of 24 hours. So, “if” they approve the return, then you “might” get your money back but not until 45 days later. So now, I’m out all that money, and hopefully someday I’ll get my money back from something that doesn’t work.
BOTTOM LINE: DON’T BUY IT.. IT IS A TOTAL SCAM.

Fighting against misinformation

I have never used the product but have been an IT professional for over 15 years. Your ISP relies on either your docsis modem or an earlier point in your connection to determine and throttle your internet speeds. Nothing will stop this. I just saw an ad on youtube saying that this wifi extender will increase your LAN speed looked to be about 200% but it cannot go faster than the device feeding it. Don't for fall for it.

Fraud, junk will return.

So it took 2 1/2 weeks to get the device. It is not the same one as advertised. Not a WPS unit, and has only two antenna's. Could not access the support email address they provided with the product order. Not on the net......... Worse of all speed/bandwidth dropped off significantly. About 30-35% of what it is without this device. Waste of money, does not work.

Though Novitec didn't deserve one star…

Though Novitec didn't deserve one star I gave it one or I can't leave a review. Do not waste your money on their products. I purchased a wifi booster back in January and canceled on the same day. They did refund my money. One month later I received the unit anyway (with out paying for it). I contacted Novitec and they agreed I return the booster. I paid $12.78 for shipping per their request and submitted a copy of the receipt for shipping refund only to get a reply that "according to company policy Novitec does not refund shipping costs". Actually, now that I think about it, I'm better off losing $12.78 on shipping than the $60.00 for a cheap Chinese booster.

It didn't work for me

It didn't work for me. Plain and simple. It did not do all it says. It makes my data speed lower than without it. I tested this with several sites like speedtest.net. (I have before/after screenshots but there's no pace to upload. But here are some numbers: Ping.Download.Upload
[before: Wifi Network without Novitec Extender] vs. after: Wifi Network with Novitec Extender:
[288.11.1] vs. 288.3.2
[NA 24. 34] vs. NA. 16. 23.
[9.50.36] vs. 10.50.16
[NA.31.39] vs NA.16.16
It's a shame because they went through all the trouble to build it and make a great website with support. (which I'm calling now to refund.) UPDATE: I called support. They are willing to refund it, but I need to call them a second time after returning. They also gave me the option to call tech support, send a photo of my unit and ask for them to send a replacement. (They believe it should work. So it does not seem like a scam. But again, it obviously does not work for me. So far.) I will order a new one and who knows?

UPDATE: They just processed a refund. No new one sent.

NOVITEC SCAM 2

Tried ordering just two and during check out another order came up saying you can get 3 for $69.00 instead. It turned out they add that to your order. When you call them, they question about it and then put you on hold.

Spoke to representative after long period on hold. I asked that they cancel both orders. After a little back and forth, I insisted both orders be cancelled. They cancelled them, but kept $10 from one of them.

I will wait until I get my statement before amending this.
