Reasonable price/quality
The car got us where we wanted, it is super convenient to have a designated parking space and not have to look around for a place when returning. It was our first time with a baby and we had enough place for the stroller (using the baby car seat) and our things. I had absolutely not anticipated that have 4 doors would be more convenient. Also, I think car might have done some noises but I have no idea. Having everything manual was great because you don’t need to look for the boutons or how to do stuff. The usb connection on the lighter unfortunately didn’t work and the phone fell from the support most of the times. These of course, were “extras” so I wouldn’t complain. It could have used some cleaning before the rental both on the inside and outside.
Careful if you have a fine it might become very costly
Careful. I got a fine which getaround said the driver paid but which was not actually paid. Now I am stuck with a "Strafanzeige" which is almost double the amount of the original fine.
I have a literal screenshot that says the drive paid it. The support refuses to pay the additional money even though it is 100% their fault for saying the fine is already paid. They immediately took the 65€ from my account including a 15€ ticket fee.
Unfair cleaning fee and unsupported damage claim
I had a disappointing experience with Getaround (Rental #9927433).
The car was already visibly dirty at pick-up, which is clearly documented in the check-in photos. I returned the vehicle in comparable condition, as shown in the check-out photos. Despite this, I was charged a €10 exterior cleaning fee.
I formally disputed the charge and provided photo evidence. The response I received was a generic reference to “policy,” without a clear, objective comparison of the before-and-after photos.
Additionally, after I challenged the cleaning fee, a damage (scratch) claim was reported. I do not accept this claim, as no clear time-stamped evidence has been provided showing that any new damage occurred during my rental.
I expected a fair and transparent review process based on documented evidence. Instead, the charge was processed while the dispute was ongoing.
I strongly recommend that future users carefully document every detail with clear photos at pick-up and drop-off.

be careful! Our car was rented in Vienna and the renters had a car accident.
More than a month has passed and the car is still parked on the side of the highway.
Technical support responds to emails with a chatbot and does not give any information other than that the case is being worked on, and on the phone you can only get a person who lives in the Philippines and gives formal answers that they read from a sheet of paper.
Renters are also very disappointed with the service of Getaround!
Not everything is as it says on the website, be careful. Never again!

The car was dirty, emergency jacket and warning triangle
The car was dirty, there was no water in the windscreen wipers (the wipers don't work, no water comes out), and the emergency jacket and warning triangle were missing, which are compulsory by law. I had to buy everything that was missing and spend €45, obviously not happy.

I'm very lucky to had a very nice gentleman ( owner of the car ) taking care of me.it is not an essy to use software to deal with, so I think it should be made more simple.

Worst assistance ever
Worst assistance ever! We had a car issue (breaks went down), we were in the mountain, it was freezing cold and we had to call at least 15 times to get the road assistance. We were in Austria but our call has been transfered to Germany, then Spain, then the US, then France and finally came back to Austria... We didn't manage to get home before 9pm (issue reported at 1pm) and did it on our own has the road assistance never sent the taxi but told us to arrange ourselves and send them the bill. We already had some car issues before and never had to go through so obstacles nor wait for so long.

Once again, Getaround's approach is an absolute outrage!!! If a renter causes damage to the vehicle, it is up to the renter to decide whether or not to acknowledge it. If they deny the damage or fail to report it when returning the vehicle, the owner is simply left to cover the costs. I would genuinely advise against registering on this platform!!!
Einmal mehr ist das Vorgehen von Getaround eine absolute Frechheit! Wenn ein Mieter einen Schaden am Fahrzeug verursacht, liegt es allein im Ermessen des Mieters, ob er diesen anerkennt oder nicht. Leugnet er den Schaden oder meldet ihn nicht bei der Rückgabe des Fahrzeugs, bleibt der Vermieter einfach auf den Kosten sitzen. Ich kann wirklich niemandem empfehlen, sich auf dieser Plattform zu registrieren!
