Renting was flawless

Renting was flawless. Owner was very nice and the car was prepared and warmed up when I picked it up. Highly recommended.

I rented a car for a week in Tromso

I rented a car for a week in Tromso. During the weekend, we made a cabin trip in Dividalen, where we stayed in order to get to a snowmobiling activity next morning in Tamoak. Temperatures droped around -17 degrees during the night, which is perfectly normal in this area (I live in Skittenelv since october). The car wouldn't start in the morning, the 12V battery was not working at all. We had to wait for around 1h30 to road assistant, -17 degrees. When the assistance arrived, he repported that the 12V battery was not in good condition, and that we might not be able to stop and start the car from then on. OBVIOUSLY this is not OK for a mobility purpose. I couldn't reach getaround because I didn't have network from my phone, and they wouldn't pick up the phone when we tried with anouther phone, as it wasn't the telephone number of the contract. What? In case of emergency, which it was, this is puting the people in a very high risk.
No help at all from Getaround, arguing that this issue "was not bad enough to ask for a replacement car".
We lost a 3000 NOK activity per person because we couldn't get to the place because of the issue with the car.
We lost the day by getting to Bardufoss airport instead of our desired destination to charge the car again and see if it was working or not. We lost the day and the money. No follow-up from getaround, nothing AT ALL.
When I delivered the car to the owner, I mentioned this and no apologies or whatever he just said that "I might have left a door opened during the night".
This is ABSOLUTELY not the service expected.
use any other company to rent a car, hertz or biltrend or whatever.
WORST EXPERIENCE.

Super nice!

We found the car in perfect conditions, fully charged with fuel, easy to drive even in the snowy roads of Tromso and surroundings and corresponsd exactly to what was written in the annocement. The owner was super hospital and kind. We definetly recommend this experience

I have only positive experiences with…

I have only positive experiences with Getaround. Both in Norway and abroad they provided good customer service whenever any issues came up. While they can't always account for the availability of the individual car owners, their service is reliable.

For example, I once booked a car for a road trip in northern Norway and the owner stopped responding. I called Getaround and they promptly gave me credit to book a new car, and refunded me for the transport to the new location.

While their customer service is not located in Norway, and therefore you have to speak English with them, I have always found them helpful.

When I started the rental period

When I started the rental period, the rear hatch wouldn't open. I contacted the owner and the app's support staff, and it took 40 minutes to resolve the issue. I had only rented the vehicle for an hour, and obviously, I didn't have time to take care of my errands, so I returned the vehicle late. Despite all this, they charged me extra for the late return. I filed a complaint, but they didn't resolve anything.
