Made the moving experience enjoyable

Darius and Mike of Balance Detroit Moving Company were phenomenal throughout the moving process. They were communicative, timely and thorough. They came in and got straight to moving. Asked questions to make sure we were comfortable with the way they did business. All of our valuables were handled with care and we will absolutely utilize their services again. 10/10 Perfect.

Horrible

Horrible
Charged double and only sent one man to move my whole house. Then charged me double for the time it took. No one has gotten back to help to resolve this. I will never use this company and will make sure no one else I know ever does either. Horrible horrendous experience

Happy with service

James the customer service rep for long distance move was great. I called him a least twice with a dozen or more questions and he was happy to answer any of my questions and more. I liked using the dashboard - very convenient for tipping and getting updates. Both moving teams worked efficiently and nothing was damaged. The movers and drivers were late for loading. I was able to speak to a person on the morning of the move. Overall good experience.

Run. Don't look back. Don't make eye contact. Just, run.

I paid my deposit and applied a Groupon for what was supposed to be a 4 man 1 driver 1 truck move taking 4 hours. Only 3 men showed up and one of them left halfway through. The 4 hours turned into nearly 9. My new apartment and furniture was damaged. They never applied the Groupon, gave me the runaround via phone and email, never sent the reimbursement form they said they would, and ended up charging me more than double what we'd agreed on. Even better, I filed a chargeback and today the bank sided with THEM, overdrafted my checking to reimburse them, and completely emptied my savings to cover the fees. I was livid in May and I'm livid all over again six months later. Save yourself.

Movers were nice and helpful

Movers were nice and helpful. Truck didn’t show up day of and one mover. But Bellhop made sure they had a truck for me next morning and the 3 movers.

Bad experience for me

Loading and Unloading was done by independent contractors and was good which was the only good part. Truck person was at my door step the day before scheduled pickup but on the scheduled day, he arrived late by 4 hours. With the move being a long distance one, this delayed my travel to the destination by a day and when reached to bellhop asking if they can unload a day later than scheduled, I was charged holding fees
