Not good

The movers sent were good but unfortunately they were unprepared for the job I hired Bellhop for. I specifically stated what I needed done and they failed to inform the movers about the details. They ended up having to use my personal tools and even had my daughter assist them. Because they weren’t properly equipped I am now facing a repair to my appliance along with having had to pay more than I was originally quoted since the time went over the allotted 2 hours since they were unprepared due to being misinformed.

Terrible. Go elsewhere.

Terrible. Go elsewhere. Their movers aren’t movers. They’re lazy 18-22 year olds who take no care in the job. They only want to be paid hourly. Due to their gross negligence, they damaged tons of my stuff. They moved slowly and took twice the time of another service I previously used.. Try local or an alternative, but do not under any circumstances use bellhop.

One half of a great team

The day of the move, the Lead for the project texted in unable to make it. That left one mover, Jesse, to do the job. He was awesome. But, he and my husband and son sure had to work a lot harder than they would have. Due to the short notice they were not able to send a replacement. I don’t know whether we are paying for two movers or one as I have not yet heard from Customer Service. Again, Jesse is AWESOME. Great attitude and effort.

Bellhop Retaliation 😓

I received a phone call from the Senior Recruiting Associate at Bellhop regarding the reviews I posted about my experience with the company on several websites. During the call, I was reprimanded for sharing my honest feedback, and Bellhop subsequently retaliated by removing me from their platform.

Regrettably, I cannot recommend Bellhop as a reliable source of income, especially for those who need it the most. The company's mission is not reflected in its treatment of employees. Contracted movers face significant challenges, including difficulties in communicating with customers and uncertainty about payment dates.

The Senior Recruiting Associate appeared unprepared for our conversation, referencing inaccurate dates and incorrect information about the complaints I had previously submitted. This lack of preparation further highlighted the issues within the company.

It's a shame because Bellhop had the potential to be a leader in its industry. I had hoped to achieve my career aspirations within Bellhop, but this experience has left me disheartened.

I didn't expect that the team had to…

I didn't expect that the team had to assemble from different locations. This caused a problem because the truck driver came on time but then we had to wait another 30min for the other two movers before we could begin loading the truck, even though the move technically began when the truck driver arrived. I could see this being a big problem if for example it was the other way around. I think at least bellhop should let customers know that the entire team will arrive in separate components.

In such cases, when the driver fulfills both roles of mover and driver, we bill for both roles accordingly, ensuring the move is at 100% fulfillment.

Despite our efforts, we regret to hear that the move still ran over the estimated time. We understand that this can be frustrating, and we acknowledge that the move may have been underestimated. Please note that your move was web-booked, and we rely on the information provided by our customers to estimate the scope of the move accurately. However, we understand that estimates are not always precise, and variations may occur. We operate based on historical data used on past moves with similar inventory and address distance. We aim to provide the best estimate possible, but we acknowledge that discrepancies can arise.

As a gesture of goodwill, we have applied a 10% discount to your order total. We hope this demonstrates our commitment to addressing your concerns and improving our service.

Amazing Moving Team

The team was incredibly helpful on moving day, and the love was seamless. One thing I will say is that your customer service representatives need more information about how you operate. I called to ask if I had to pack my TV, and the representative was unsure, then checked, then said I should. The movers said they would have taken care of it for me, which honestly would have been preferable—I was one person doing this alone. Thanks for understanding. Overall, though, a great move!!
