If I could give them a zero I would

If I could give them a zero I would. They were 3 hours late. Sent the wrong size truck which resulted in having to do 2 trips and then they billed me an extra $692 for the additional 3 hours for THEIR mistake. They offered me $198 credit. They are a complete joke and I would never use them again.

NEVER NEVER NEVER GO WITH BELLHOPS FOR YOUR MOVE.

THEY NEVER SHOWED UP ON MOVE DAY.

THEY ARE NOW CHARGING US MORE MONEY FOR THEIR MISTAKES AND FAILING TO ACKNOWLEDGE WRONGDOING.

Going with Bellhops has been a horrible, stressful, and demeaning experience. I cannot give a low enough rating. I am still in the process of disputing charges for their reprehensible, dishonest, disorganized, and time-wasting practices. We have gotten disrespect from every angle. It's been an truly awful company to deal with. I have never had this bad of an experience with any other company, in Pittsburgh or otherwise.

Several weeks in advance, we scheduled a large and time-sensitive move from the place we're moving out of to a shipping pod that will reach our new home. The shipping pod has a limited time window for dropoff. We're paying for the shipping pod and the quote was a couple thousand dollars.

OUR MOVERS SIMPLY DID NOT SHOW UP ON MOVE DAY. This is the day we paid a deposit for. This is the day we booked. We had them scheduled to arrive between 2 and 3PM. We got a QR code the night before so they could scan it when they arrive. They just never showed up.

When 2:30 rolls around, we call support to check in that someone's on the way. We cannot contact anyone. 3PM, still unable to reach anyone who can provide a reason or a solution. We were on the phone and sending emails until 9PM and they only could offer help the next day. Being backed into a corner and needing movers, we requested additional time with the shipment facility and re-scheduled with Bellhops. Quotes from next-day movers are of course much more expensive than a move we planned weeks in advance.

Movers showed up the next day (later than promised) and did move our things. I come to find that BELLHOPS IS CHARGING US MORE MONEY FOR THE NEXT DAY MOVE THAN THE PRICE QUOTED FOR THE DAY BEFORE. This NOT A RUSH MOVE. The only reason this is a next-day booking is because BELLHOPS MESSED UP and is failing to be accountable for this. I was offered $100 off as "appeasement" which is the word they used on several occasions. We took two full days off work. $100 compensation after several hundred were added to the bill is robbery and a slap in the face. Calling it appeasement like I'm being unreasonable is incredibly disrespectful. Moving is stressful enough. Dealing with unethical behavior like this should not have to be coupled with it.

A few years ago, we had successful and pleasant moves with Bellhops. Support was contactable, movers showed up on time, everything got done and everyone has happy. This is why we scheduled with them again. Very big mistake.

Since then, so many processes have been "automated" by a dysfunctional dashboard, glitching chat bots, and AI voice calls that are just incapable of solving problems. To reach a real human has taken hours and hours of calling and emailing, which is not something the user is getting paid to do. When we do get a response, it's been later than promised and a response only enough to punt the problem for the next scheduled contact which doesn't happen when promised again. We've been on hold for hours and hours and the music combined with the stress is enough to drive anyone to anger. The dashboard malfunctions more often than not and directs the user to contact customer support. The customer support wait line says the hold time is 4 or 5 minutes. Consistently, it was longer than 20 and then is directed to voice mail. The voice mail did not seem to be monitored. We did not get resolution to our problem after several calls. The only way to reach a human is to call sales. They will then try to put you on hold or send you back through the black hole of customer support that has not solved our problem. What a horrible experience that is still not resolved. BELLHOPS NEEDS TO CONTACT US and give us money back for the move they promised us, we agreed to pay for, and never happened. Shameful, dishonest, and what seems like an illegal bait and switch. NEVER NEVER GO WITH BELLHOPS.

HORRENDOUS

HORRENDOUS! Avoid at all costs. They estimated my move to take 2 hours. The team showed up at the end of the 2 hour window they gave and it took them 3 hours to move my pre-packed apartment (everything disassembled, etc.) it then took them almost 2 hours to unload the truck into the basement of my new home (no stairs or anything) only after I began to help because it was after dark at that point. These are not professional movers by any means. There’s clearly no vetting process. The team damaged the majority of my belongings and several items went missing. I filed a claim and was ghosted. When I followed up they told me there was no record of a claim and that it was now too late to file a new claim. This company owes me around $8000 in damages to furniture and at the very least the cost of my move. It’s shocking to me that they have any positive reviews. Their customer service is a JOKE. Not a single apology for my experience. Week long delays in response times to inquiries and no clearly labeled customer service number when booking. On top of all of this, it appears that their only response to poor reviews is something along the lines of “we’ll try to do better in the future” not willing to take any accountability for what they’ve already messed up. I just want my money back. If I didn’t care about how my belongings would be treated during a move, I would have found a bunch of college kids and offered them pizza and beer. I’d have saved myself a ton of money and my stuff would be in better shape too. Shame on this “business”.

Move was OK, communication post-move less than good

The moving team on the loading side was only at 50% capacity, as only 2 of the 4 movers showed up. The driver was great, as was the unloading team.

1 star removed for the lack of show-up from the movers, and 1 more star removed as Bellhop has failed to respond to my emails about the lack of movers/a slight damage during transit. It's been about 2 weeks since I first reached out.

Lack of communication

Lack of communication. I wanted them to primarily move my large items. They stated that they couldn't get to items. Items were unsanitary. Dogs smelled of ammonia. All lies. I had items in a room to be donated. Nothing was said to me about anything. Onsite supervisor called corporate instead of telling me what the issue was. $200 to cancel or reschedule. Giant breed dog blowing his coat in the heat. Busy packing a 4 bedroom house. Under skilled company with lack of communication skill. They left our things on the front porch as well. A $350 lesson learned. I would NEVER HIRE THEM!

Convenient but careless

Booking was easy, but all of my stuff got filthy in the truck and several of my expensive items were damaged. My couch was covered in dirt and dust. My boxes were all scuffed and scratched. My concrete table top was severely chipped and my standing floor mirror was as well.

This was the 2nd half of my move

This was the 2nd half of my move. The first only 1 truck showed up. This time, the workers that showed up did a nice job. The team leader however did not show up. The guys found another worker that was off that day and came into work to help the guys do my move. We worked together and figured out ways to get the big items out of the house.
I will not be recommending your company.
