In a word: Soothing.
I discovered Sensate at a time in my life when I was desperately searching for ways to de-stress & un-clutter my busy mind. I was just beginning to look into things like meditation, sound baths, breath work, and other mindfulness-related practices. Sensate basically became a “gateway” to these things and remains a compliment to my relaxation practices. It is a quick & easy way to bring some calm to my day or evening without having to work too hard or “concentrate”- just pop in some earbuds, start a soundscape on the app and turn on the device; it is simply soothing.

I highly recommend trying this out
I highly recommend trying this out! On my first 10 minute use I could feel my burning neuropathy sensation in my legs calm. I also didn’t want to get up I felt so relaxed. I’m anxious to try at bedtime and first thing in the am.

I have opinions!
I have thoughts! I was recommend this because of gut issues (the glamour!) As a last resort really. I'm halfway through my 90 day trial. I love the fact there is a 90 day trial as it's expensive.
I really like it. I try to use it for 10 mins during the day, if I can. I will often wake up at 3am and if I can be bothered to get out of bed I will use it again in the middle of the night and I think it works helping me go back to sleep. I basically love it.
My main gripe - that you need your phone. Why?! Firstly I don't want to keep my phone in the bedroom. All the studies say its a bad idea to pick up your phone in the middle of the night. So I keep my phone now on the landing. But I dont really understand why you need to pair the device with a phone. The 'soundscapes' are fine but essentially useless. I just want to turn the device on and use it. Why are we forced to have so many apps and be constantly using our phones?
I think I will try to find an equivalent device that doesn't require me to be glued to my phone. It's ironic that to combat stress we need to use our phone. I just want the pebble and not the app.
Update - i returned the device but bought one half price on vinted. That seemed reasonable to me. I would much prefer a device that doesn't require opening my phone, but I do think it really helps send me straight to sleep!

I love the sensate
I love the sensate. My boyfriend bought it for me because I’m in perimenopause and have terrible insomnia and this relaxed me to sleep within 10 minutes. I plan to keep using this for those 2-4am wake ups to soothe myself back to sleep. It feels really calming and I will carry it with me when I travel also

It works as an easy meditation and calming tool.
Senate pros and cons
Senate helps me meditate and gets more out of my time when I’m busy and have an overwhelmed/resistant mind. Excellent product overall- although after paying for the device, it’s annoying to be asked to pay more for the soundscapes required to use the device. Would rather pay more upfront and get all the soundscapes, charging more for them after feels like a scam.
Every time I use Sensate I feel a sense…Calm
Every time I use Sensate I feel a sense of calm wash over me.
Device doesn’t work - SCAM

I love the device
I love the device. I am disappointed that there aren't that many Soundscapes included for free. I had to save up to get the device, I can't afford to pay extra for the other Soundscapes that look like they would be enjoyable.
My sleep is so much better.
I have had so much trouble with stress for a long time. With age came stress I couldn't deal with. With Sensate I sleep so soundly. I feel like my body is renewing itself instead of waking up feeling so tired.

Shipping took a month
Shipping took a month, that’s why I have it two stars. Also lack of customization as you can’t listen to any audio other than what’s on Sensate app while using. I don’t care for any of the audio as they are strange very cheap sounds and don’t give any relaxation for me personally. They sound like holding music honestly.
I also with you could do more than 10mins for using it to sleep I could use a 20 min time and it would be better.
Other than that I feel it working and it’s helped me work in my nervous system a lot.
Needs to be an option to listen to your own music or sounds outside of the app maybe the next software update?
The jury is still out at day 10.
I’ve had my Sensate for 10 days and I’m using it daily.
It definitely helps me de-stress and relax during the day and at bedtime. I purchased it specifically to help with sleep and I’m not noticing any benefits in that area yet. I wish there were sessions that lasted more than 20 minutes. I’d like to have a 60 minute session when I go to bed and I find it very disruptive to have to look at my phone screen to start another session.
I have the subscription to Sensate Plus and really think it should have options for 60 minute bedtime sessions. Thank you for your consideration.
interfering the autonomic cascade with Sensate
A great device, especially for someone who is neurodivergent like me. If I can stop the autonomic cascade - and Sensate seems to help me - I can function better throughout the day and sleep at night.
Can't get it to work!
Can't get it to work! Have sent an email asking for help but no response. Also your automated system is very frustrating to work with.
Sensate helps me relax and pause
Sensate helps me relax and pause the stress and the spinning thoughts for a moment. After a session it feels like I can breathe more deeply than before. I really like Sensate.
Sensate Fan!
Love my new Sensate! It is a great tool to help my nervous system calm down. The "Plus" tracks are worth the bit extra, but there are a few in the free version that are still good.
