I have both Dannheim for easy wear and Veitsch for complete arch support. Both models are extremely comfortable and long lasting. Customer service is both responsible and attentive. A great company. Hint - sizing is slightly on the large side.

For the various companies I've dealt with this past year, Giesswein come top, with the added bonus of excellent quality ethical shoes.

I ordered 4 pairs of shoes during black their incredible Black Friday deal. 1 had to be returned due to sizing, which was a super easy process with a full refund and the other 3 (incl Wool Cross X alpine boots and barefoot trainers for myself) are incredibly comfortable. I've never worn such comfy trainers, with the added peace of mind they're high quality wool and natural rubber.
Giesswein have shown to be a company that cares so this 5 star comes well deserved and I hope the super footwear/clothing and service continues in future. :))
Severe delays if you order from the U.S. Shipping time will exceed return window. Giesswein blocks negative reviews.

I purchased a pair of slippers on 3rd December, which Giesswein sent via Evri. Evri lost the parcel at the local depot on the 6th December. Evri have confirmed they lost the parcel but Giesswein support just send me the same tracking information again and again when asking them how they are going to resolve the issue.
Several emails back and forth with them and they just deflect and say nothing of any substance. It’s a clear issue that has two options. Refund or replace. Not send me the same tracking information 100 times or try and tell me it’s stuck in customs.

I am deeply disappointed with this company’s customer service. I ordered ladies size 6 Dennheim slippers on the 31/10/25. Unfortunately as the sizing is smaller, I was forced to try to exchange these. The return form provided with the order stated ‘you can return free of charge to your nearest post office’. This is completely untrue for any UK customers. Post offices do not accept this as a return. Contradicting this, when I went online to the Giesswein website to generate a return label, they state to use Evri. After travelling to 3 post offices, 4 Evri parcel drop locations and then 2 DHL Express service point locations, I was told the only place that could accept this package for return to Germany was a drive of 10 miles away to the DHL E commerce Service point. This has wasted so much of my time. The customer service I have received throughout from Giesswein Support Centre has been dismissive and very unhelpful from a supposed high quality brand. I will report this company to the UK Comsumer Council for their misrepresentation of their return process. It is incredibly difficult and has taken over 7 hrs of my time to do for all the multiple attempts. I decided to change my request after the initial attempts to return and ask for a full refund, as I have no faith in this company. It is now 14/12/25 and I still have not received a refund after successfully returning the package to the DHL E-commerce point on 21/11/25. There has been no offer of any compensation for the inconvenience and stress this has caused. This is not good enough. I hope my poor experience helps other customers make informed decisions before purchasing.

Shocking customer service. I ordered two pairs of slippers. Both were too small (seem small fitting) so I sent them back (and ordered a larger size separately). I then received an email to say I was receiving a refund but for only one of the pairs of slippers sent back. I emailed to enquire about this and was basically told I had to ‘prove’ I’d sent them both back. I need to fill in a form to try and get the money back for the second pair, but I’m not hopefully. I actually think they’ve done this deliberately so that they can make profit from the sale. Total frauds! Avoid!

Customer service can't give either a tracking reference or the option to cancel.
They said I can ask for a refund when I receive the product (which they haven't shipped yet), so I basically feel robbed.

These slippers regulate the temperature superbly, are sublimely comfortable, and they never smell. The uppers seem indestructible, I wear them year round and they don’t stain or scuff… amazing.
As long as Giesswein make these, I will buy no other slipper.
I bought a pair of Wildpoldsried about a year ago which I thought would be lovely and warm. However, there is a cold plastic layer in the toe box which means to feel warm I have to wear sox. This defeats the purpose of warm slippers. They are also quite a struggle to get on. Made worse by the necessity to wear socks. Otherwise an excellent concept. I would try a different style However I'm totally put off by the cold toe box.
It may be better to have the protective toe box coating on the outside, allowing the toes to feel warm against wool rather than plastic.
Thank you for your supportive reply. I have returned the product and received a very prompt reply of a refund. I am still very keen to have a pair of your slippers and I'm now exploring other options in your range that do not have the same problem.

I needed clogs in Oregon, but Giesswein sent them to Mobile Alabama. I tried to tell them, and they treated it like it was my problem. Oh no it's not...
We could have avoided this. First, Giesswein could have informed me at the time of the order, that they were sending my clogs via FEDEX, which has a bad delivery record in my remote rural region. Giesswein should let customers know which shipper they use.
Second, as I tracked the order online, I could see the clogs were in the wrong part of North America. And as I suspected, they were misdelivered to a nice looking doorstep in Mobile Alabama, not to the lovely Oregon High Desert where I live. When I informed Giesswein of the misdelivery, their flat reply was that the parcel had been delivered. While that was true in a trivial sense, that reply carries a strong suggestion that the customer is wrong and dishonest. It suggests that Giesswein prefers to insult customers rather than just look at the shipping and delivery information to confirm what is really happening. It is even worse, because the customer knows the information too, and knows that Giesswein knows it. It creates animosity that Giesswein might prefer not to experience.
As an alternative approach, Giesswein might consult their shipping and delivery files before writing a reply.
When a higher-level customer service person took the issue, she told me I would have to fill out a claim form and return it to them, and wait three weeks for a refund. Now FedEx only allows the shipper to file claims on misdeliveries, and Giesswein has all the information necessary to fill out such a form. An already irritated customer could conclude that Giesswein was trying to delay repayment, or make the customer give up, or at least spare Giesswein having to do the work themselves.
A better method would have been to consult the shipping file, file the claim, and apologize to the customer. Some businesses will even offer you free product or a discount, but one gets the impression that may be a little too far down the road for Giesswein at this stage.
It was a little much when the customer service representative stated that they would ultimately be sending me the clogs, suggesting there would be no refund at all. To wear the product of a company that seems to have been lazy, obstructive, and insulting is not necessarily attractive to many people.
So after struggling to attach the squirrely claim form to another email to Giesswein, I await satisfaction of my claim while wearing a brand new pair of Stegmann clogs, which just arrived.
I got a pair as a Christmas gift for someone. They didn't like how heavy they were. The return process was really straight forward and they covered the cost. I got my refund. I really appreciate this.
Ordered a pair of shoes in size 41 and was sent a size 43 even though I remember the box was written with size 41. This was a Christmas gift so the owner is disappointed. Reached out to customer support and they didn’t respond with an apology rather an automated reply stating I could return the item with a QR code. Not really the service I expected.
I am wearing my second pair of Giesswein Wool Cross X Alpine walking boots. Its pair was replaced after a year because they leaked water and the 2nd pair is also leaking. This was a replacement pair sent in 2022. I thought they would last more than 2 years

I ordered two pairs of slippers. The delivery took a long time and the parcel was eventually delivered by Evri to an unknown address - not mine. It has been 5 days since I have contacted Giesswein to notify them of a lost parcel and have received no response.
Nothing from Evri either.
This was a Christmas gift. Unlikely to order again due to long delivery times and lack of customer service support. Hoping to at the very least get my money back.

The shoes are good, their delivery partner and customer service is terrible. I bought some shoes, Evri their delivery partner, held my shoes for a couple of days, didn't attempt to deliver and then just returned the shoes to Giesswein. When I attempted to contact Giesswein by email, chat and phone, they didn't bother to respond. Shame as this would have been my second pair of shoes and the shoes are good.
