Vicky was outstanding helping me through the transition to connect: The 5 stars are for her. The process unfortunately was broken and not seemless in spite of me making 3 phone calls to separate advisors, who were all lovely and supportive. This is definitely the best part of the Gigaclear experience. Please acknowledge and reward Vicky for her work and care. Superstar, she is.

I recently moved house and was able to set up Fibre Optic cables for the first time. I called Gigaclear and they informed me there was a coupon available that would see money returned for both myself and my neighbour for recommending the service, once I enrolled and set myself up, they told me it wasn't possible. So my new neighbour thinks im a moron. Thanks Gigaclear. Subsequently, I have outages each month. This morning was particuarly bad, I had to wait an hour to speak to somebody and they cannot figure it out.

When I took out a contract with Gigaclear I was told over the phone that there would be no early leaving fee should I leave due to moving home, if the new home could not accept Gigaclear as a service provider. My house was up for sale at the time and I knew the area I was planning to move to would probably not have fibre to the property.
When I eventually moved Gigaclear charged me the early release fee of £275. I phoned to discuss this and it took 3 calls for them to tell me somebody had eventually listened to my previous call and this was not agreed. I have now asked for the transcript. This has gone on now for 7 days and still no transcript, 13 days from my initial call and still nothing. Gigaclear are basically calling me a liar. They are terribly slow in getting back to you.
I was told over the phone that Gigaclear changed their policy regarding the above. I was also told that agents would sometimes make these promises to achieve sales.
On a separate note, when my fees increased after a period the jump was huge, something in the order of £17 a month to £48. When I complained about this it was reduced without any real argument to £30. Still a high rise but it reveals the nature of the company. Out to see what they can take/grab in the hope that people forget or don’t bother chasing up.
On a positive note, the broadband was quick, the service agents are polite. I get the impression the company behind it all is pretty toxic.
I will take this further.
A follow up:
Gigaclear have now released all transcripts but only going back to 2025.
In their terms and conditions for July 2023 it states the following:
“Early Termination Charge” means the charges we apply if your contract is terminated before the end of the Minimum Term being the full charges you would have paid to us for the Broadband Service up to the end of the Minimum Term unless the Broadband Service was cancelled before the end of the initial Cooling-Off Period. Please see our Early Termination Charge policy for details of these charges.
And
13.1 If you are moving to an address that is not within a Gigaclear Network service area during the Minimum Term then you will not have to pay any Early Termination Charge, subject to you providing suitable evidence of your home move and completion of our Moving House Form. Please note you will be required to return any Equipment we have provided for you to connect to the Services as described in clause 12.
I returned equipment and I completed the moving house form.
It looks as though Gigaclear changed this policy in September 2024 and I didn’t read the small print. In September 2024 the early repayment charge applies to moving house within the min term outside their networked area.
I still maintain that somebody advised me incorrectly after sept 2024.

Have been having problems with disconnection and slow speeds on WiFi, took a speed test which was very low so contacted Gigaclear for some help as I really am not confident with this technology. Explained problem in an email and advised them I was not competent and I received help from Mukul who was very patient, explained each procedure carefully, and with enough information that even I could follow and fortunately the WiFi seems to have improved. I wrote the procedure down this time so hopefully if it reoccurs (it has done this in the past) I will remember what exactly I can do to try and improve speed without bothering Mukul and colleagues too much.

Not impressed.
Signed up with no mention of the price going up in 18 months from £29 to £88per month.
After contacting customer service I was told that the £88 could be negotiated and could/may be reduced.
This is an obvious way of hoping customers do not immediately notice the ridiculous hike in the monthly fee and pay the hugely “above market” fee.
Some would say that this is morally suspect
Also asked for wiring to go from outside the property into an understairs cupboard where the the existing Vodafone router and power sockets were installed.
Sent numerous photos but their technical team could not understand. I explained that there was existing conduit that was inside the wall but never got an assurance that they could install without visible wiring in the house.
I know understand that the normal install process is to fit a box immediately inside the property and run visible wiring along skirting boards as this is quicker and cheaper.
Not impressed so cancelled the installation.

I had an issue with my internet connection which was dealt with quickly and efficiently via a live chat. My problem was understood by the advisor and clear steps to follow were provided to try to resolve the issue.
After following the instructions the issue seems to be fixed.
Great service considering it was a Sunday

Five stars for Adrian Prescott at Gigaclear. From first contact he was knowledgeable, patient, and straight with me about timelines and costs — no pressure, just clear advice that made switching feel easy. He's the kind of person that makes you trust the company behind him. The install's booked for the tenth of November and I'm genuinely looking forward to it. If the rest of the experience is anything like dealing with Adrian, Gigaclear's earned every one of those stars.

I have been a customer of Gigaclear for many years and do appreciate the capital investment they made for the infrastructure in rural England. However, their pricing structure does disappointment me, whereby it's 'the new customers' who get the best deals. Their customer service people are very good and we have always negotiated an mutual agreement, but it's annoying having to go through the process.
