Excelent service from support staff…

Excelent service from support staff member Tim BertXXXXX. He took lots of effort to solve our problem and we succeeded doing so thanks to his support.

End of support after 2 years !!!

So I bought a GX4 for my wife 2 years ago. It’s in principle a decent phone although their android variant feels maybe a bit less robust.
But, now after only 2 years they’re stopping support. So from next month onward it won’t get any updates and this phone will be as vulnerable as hell to hackers. TWO YEARS and we’re already obligated to buy a new phone while this one is working just fine. NEVER AGAIN.

Told me My phone system wouldn't work with digital and that was not the case

I advised them that my Gigaset c620 phone system no longer received answerphone messages and was this because I had full fibre installed.
The answer I got back was this machine doesn't have an answerphone.
There are two systems 620 and 620A. Now you would think they would realise that it was the a version.
I was then told that these older systems answerphone worked on analogue and wouldn't work with digital systems. As I had previously had digital line I researched further myself and found out this wasn;t the case. I asked ee to get the line checked and they found a fault. My system now receives calls on answerphone.
I could have wasted over £150 purchasing there newer system.
You would think they would have tested the capabilities of their equipment for compatabilty, but that is obviously not the case.
Shame on you Gigaset and Meriem Bouya

Don't buy

I bought a smartphone that was supposed to be delivered within 3 to 6 business days but it came after almost three weeks. In the meantime, Gigaset didn't send not even one email or message to my account, not even about the fact that the phone was shipped. I needed to call customer service several times and send tickets through their website but everytime I got a different answer, which wasn't even too realistic. I already thought it's some sort of online scam. Even if it would be the best smartphone in the world, I would definitely not recommend it because I buy a lot online and I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism, reliability, and customer care.

Says answering machine right on the box but I don't have one!

This is unbelievable! It has taken me months to try and resolve the fact that I cannot get my answering machine to work even though it advertises and answering machine on the box and in the advertisement on Amazon. It took me months to get someone on the phone to answer me after many many emails that didn't make any sense and they had me do the same things over and over. I am so disappointed and angry that I paid this much money for a telephone that is useless! This is false advertising.

A good service

I was surprised to see the poor reviews that Gigaset receives on Trustpilot. I only came on to record my recent excellent experience. Our phone "went down" and because we could still get good internet I thought that it was the phone (Gigaset C435A) that was at fault. I completed the form on the Gigaset website customer care section and received a very full guide as to how to correct my problem. To cut a long story short, I eventually found out that it was the external land line that was at fault. Open Reach fixed it and we were "up and running" again. We have had our Gigaset phone (twinset answer phone) for twelve years and it has been fine in every respect.

incredibly rude - avoid

Poor products & incredibly rude and unhelpful"customer service" - avoid
called their CS & spoke to a rude dismissive guy who appeared to take pleasure in being difficult and flippant. Convinced me to ditch Gigaset when I have full fibre broadband installed.

Gigaset phone is so complicated you can…

Gigaset phone is so complicated you can access your voicemail mail, information on the internet is useless. My 80 year mother has had to go to geek squad to turn off this persistent alarm and she can’t even listen to her messages.

Very poor customer service, persistence certainly required

Bought a Family Duo set and worked well for almost 20 months then one handset went wrong.
Can't find a single handset andalthough others might work with the base you can't find any information on their website for this phone as they don't list it.
Did find out that there is a 2 year guarantee on their phones.
Send email off and many, many emails and 3 weeks later I think I have got them to send me a replacement which is supposed to arrive next week. Will update.

Update 17TH JULY
replacement handset arrived direct from Germany, latest style so doesn't fit existing bases but thankfully it came with a base.

Gigaset doesn't stand behind their product

Baught a gigaset phone and had some problems. I contacted the manufacturer. They would not provide any support and do not stand behind their product. I suggest you buy another phone brand. It's been so frustrating.

Bad For The Environment

Spent hours researching Gigaset smartphones with removable batteries (because it's better value and better for the environment).

Couldn't find a UK retailer and finding replacement batteries proved impossible. Batteries for the phone I'm interested in are listed on Amazon but are 'CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE',.. so what's the point?

Waited a month for a useless reply

Waited a month for a reply about where to buy mobile battery in London. Told me they don't do mail order but I can get them in Currys or supermarkets like Sainsbury's ! Went to Currys who don't sell batteries and hadn't heard of Gigaset.
I bought phone because Gigaset is green and makes phones with changeable batteries...

Broadband installed at Bh212lb

Broadband installed at Bh2121, 12th 13th sept 2022 your contractors damaged my hedge with some material which has caused it to slowly die. I have reported bus trip advisor at time reply was “it will recover” and an apology. In May 2023 a neighbour took up you offer of free broadband for 3months, I spoke to one of your employees wearing a dark polo shirt named Dan and showed him the damage to my front hedge, he took a photo of same and informed me he would report same. I have not received any response from your company which leaves me to believe he did not forward my complaint? The hedge is gradually dying and needs replacement for which I am looking for some answer from yourselves. I have also previously posted a review and no reponse.

DREADFUL customer service

Their customer service is UNBELIEVABLY poor!!! I am crippled and require two extensions in my house, one upstairs, one downstairs. I was unable to get the Gigaset A270 going and filed ticket upon ticket upon ticket for MONTHS!!! Never a response. Vodafone very kindly helped me get the thing going in the end. Customer "service" at Gigaset responded MONTHS later to my ticket with a "sorry this is late" and with instructions that I had already downloaded from the internet and that had proved useless. They also requested a full complement of my contact details - again something I had already provided with them on NUMEROUS!!! occasions!!!! Don't go near them guys, unless you want to cry bitter tears ... for months!!!!

Beware at all costs!

I purchased an alarm system and I regret it everyday ever since! It gets activated whenever we open the door is opened even though it is in home mode. Turning on the privacy mode even doesn't help. We decided to turn it off all together. It only brought us anger and frustration rather than sense of security. Beware at all costs!

A Fantastic Experience

I had an issue with an item I purchased from Amazon which who provided the worst customer service I have ever received even though I have been an Amazon customer for over 11 years, however Amazon showed that me nothing but contempt and made a strong case for ordering from China whenever things are not time-critical. I spoke to Gigaset in Germany and they were absolutely fantastic and if every company provided the the same quality of customer service then I imagine 99% of all customers would be happy and always return with their loyalty and praise.
