I ordered the UV tech hoodie. I can underscore how disappointed I am in the product, the customer service and the Company. If I could give them a minus 50 I would. Due to the unisex sizing I ordered more than I needed so that everyone got the right size. I tried to return 5 hoodies and Gill Marine went silent. Their website DOES NOT work. I emailed them and called them and left messages to no avail. They don't respond.

This company and their people are unethical by not complying with their return policy. I will NEVER do business with them again and encourage everyone else to abide by Buyer Beware. My first and LAST experience with the Company!

Returning merch is a nightmare. Poor communication and still waiting for a refund weeks after it was returned and received by Gill.

I've worn a host of Gill products for many years from dinghy boots to off-shore suits and everything in between and in my opinion their products are superb. Recently, I was concerned with the cuffs on an off-shore jacket, I telephoned and spoke to Tracey who asked me to send the item to her for examination. The cuffs were replaced and the garment was returned in perfect order, ready for winter use, without charge. I am completely satisfied and feel I've been rewarded for my loyalty to the brand. Thank you Gill.

I have brought a few items recently and the quality and speed of delivery as been amazing.
I have known the company for a long time now, I used to empty their bin when I livwd in Long Eaton! Now using their gear now I live in Cornwall and am sailing

Do not order, I never received the sailing pants, nobody ever followed up even after I called them and said I have never received the pants. I wi have to dispute charges and report the company!!!

I recently bought several wetsuit items for my son. I've known about Gill's quality since 2023. After placing my order last Sunday (Easter), I didn’t receive any updates for about three days. After contacting their customer support, I received a response very quickly. The quality of the customer support was excellent – they even created an account for me and linked my order to it (since I checked out as a guest).

I contacted customer support at the same time my shipment was dispatched. After that, the tracking was clear and transparent. I received my package on time, and all the sizes matched what I ordered.

I’ll gladly recommend this store, as well as the manufacturer.

Bought Gill Dinghy Drysuit 5 months ago and within using it up to 10 times and not submerging in it once the sleeve seal fell apart.
Got in touch with Wetsuit Outlet, where I bought it from who got in touch with Gill and was told the seals usually wear out so are not covered by warranty.
Hang on, designed for dinghy racing and come apart in less than 10 uses at a rather costly price?
Not quite what I was buying into!!!

If this is how Gill manufactures it's drysuits and responds to customers I for one won't be spending my hard earned cash and advise others to be aware of what could happen to them.
Should anyone ask my advice on purchasing from Gill, I'd say avoid.
Friends have other branded drysuits from 10 years back that are still intact yet I buy a Gill drysuit use it about 10 times without going in the water and wrist seal gone. Very Unhappy with Gill.

I used you wear Gill Sailing cloth years ago and used to love Quality & value for money. After ordering a set of gear now, I was shocked to receive some cheaply made (in China and Myanmar) plastic stuff, uncomfortable and feels like plastic foil on the buddy.
certainly my last purchase from that brand.

Have bought a number of products over recent years which have all been very good value for money. I was unfortunate to encounter a problem with one of them shortly after the warranty expired, but it was quickly replaced with no quibble whatsoever which is excellent customer service, a measure by which I believe a company should be judged as much as its products.

Very sad experience with Gill in Germany. They use DPD as transport service and this is a nightmare. I am still waiting for 200€ and had to involve paypal because the refund is missing (after 6 Weeks). Chaos on the Gill side as well. Service is not answering or needs days for a simple question.

Customer service helped me resolve a problem I had with a broken zipper on a Cargo Bag.
They went far beyond what I expected as it was out of warranty.
However the bag was still good condition and so was repaired.
All of the Gill clothing and gear I own has been of good quality, very fit for purpose and value for money.
Highly recommended!

I'm not a frequent customer but have bought Gill water sport products on-and-off for many years and found them to be of very good design and quality. Had recent cause for the first time to contact UK customer service with some after-sales feedback and was blown-away (ha!) by the outstanding responsiveness and professionalism of the experience.

I have used Gill equipment for decades. Great stuff and with excellent support in the rare case when needed.

Bought a Gill watch. Unusable low volume levels. My request for support was ignored and when I chased this up I was told that the Product Manager was in meetings so an answer couldn't be given

A fine company wrecked by untrained staff. I will not use Gill again

Total Scam!! Purchase 249.00 dollars worth of sailing shorts. None of them fit so I followed return policy to the letter and paid another $ 24 to return them priority mail. Items were returned back to me with a stamped "unclaimed". Called customer service and was promised a call back from "Kathy". Never received a call back. Total Scam Company!!!

Once a year I do the 300 mile offshore coastal race in sunny Queensland, apart from that, my gear is rarely used.
In April 2019 I purchased a Gill OS1 jacket and trousers.
In April 2021, while preparing for our local race I noticed delamination of the inner linings.(Delamination= leaking) I immediately returned both jacket and trousers to the chandlery for repair/replacement. Almost exactly 2 years old.
The local rep contacted me and offered to swap a new OS2 jacket for my leaking OS1 jacket. I refused. He asked whether I had put my gear thru a washing machine or hosed them with a high pressure hose. I answered no. He told me this had never happened before and I was the only one.
After about 6 months my jacket was replaced but my trousers were never replaced. No explanation.
Just finished the 2022 race and unsurprisingly my trousers leaked. (Like sitting in a puddle)
I saw the rep at the end of the race and was told that the trousers were now out of warranty.
Naturally I am disappointed with the Gill offshore gear now 3 years old.

i owned a pair of gill deck boots. they lasted 12 years. they finally cracked and leaked. i replaced them with a new identical pair. those pieces of worthless junk didn't last 7 months and cracked and leaked. i even went and purchased shark boots. they as well are crap. you will never get another cent from my pocket. i'm even posting photos on social media for the public to see the proof. they are 110% crap!

Years ago Gill was a very respected name for highest-quality sailing gear. Unfortunately things have changed drastically for the worse. I believe that the company was purchased by a private equity firm and the usual cost- and quality-cutting has started. Now the waterproofing materials in their offshore foul weather gear are cheap and the sealed internal membrane seams fail quickly. Impossible to say that their "lifetime guarantee" is even worth anything now; not even sure the company will survive!
