Bullies and scammers

So.... i stopped in the middke of the night duw to feeling unwell and needing to relieve myself, Iam a duabwtic and blue badge holder and I saw no signage and was tgere forlwssthan 5 minutes i did not even know this was a car oark. This wasin January 2023. Ob receivibg this pcn i immexiately wrote to them enclosing a copy of my blue badge and havibg to wrote to them only after being threatened and verbally abuses over the phone. My appeal letter was quickly rejected and no consideration was for the rrasons set out along with my possession of a valid blue badge. I ignores their letter chasing £155 in the same year. No communication from them from 2023 until aletter before action dated August 2026. I filed a complaint and that they should send service to me andi will rigerously dwfend any claimand ask that my costs be paid. Bot heard anything back from this yet. This firm are not complying with the SRA and a further complaint to the SRA will be made

ANOTHER YEAR, ANOTHER LETTER!

Another year, another letter.

These people are ruthless, greedy, and corrupt. They are not in the slightest bit interested in what is right, just, or fair.

In the era of AI, I plugged my case into a legal app. I stated my 3 key pieces of evidence:

1. I have proof for paid parking , in a small town, and adhered to the permitted times.

2. I have proof of explanation due to misleading similarity and its close proximity to a car park with an almost identical name.

3. I have proof that the car park operator updated the car park name after I brought this issue to their attention.

AI did not hesitate to explain the law to me, and how the car parks name change within a few weeks of bringing it to their attention, via a saved email, was a legal "smoking gun", along with other information around no bad faith / financial loss, added fees etc. It was also informative, very negatively, on Gladstones and their tactics.

I asked AI what my chances of success would be if I could provide my ticket receipt and prove the car park naming issues, which I have maintained. It said 80-85% success, and I was in "a very strong position".

Now, I was already aware of this, as are Gladstones and Minster Baywatch, who issued the ticket. All this does is prove they aren't fighting for any legal justice. They are fighting for money they know they have no moral or legal right to.

They just want free money and hope they can get it via either scare tactics or hope you don't know how to defend yourself. They are like dodgy tradesmen who pray on your elderly parents.

These people are not to be treated as legal enforcers. Anyone dealing with them should treat them as scammers and cowboys. Don't take your eye off them.

Record what you have as evidence and milk them dry by either winning in court or letting them waste their time and money harassing you.

Either way, you win!

Beware of unethical procedures.

Awful company. Do not contact via telephone do everything in writing!! I was issued a charge notice a year after the fact. Gladsones acting on behalf of Horizon Parking. I was issued a parking notice in April 2026 despite the alleged infringement being April 2025. The PCN was for being on a 2 hour free car park in Ashby De La zouch (I was 1hr 13mins) the issue arose due to a house move, The staff are rude, they do not allow for the correct appeal procedures and nor do they accept complaints from persons other than their clients! After several emails back and forth Gladstones reduced the amount of the notice down from £150 to £70 in full settlement, this was an offer made by them in writing and is stated as ‘in full and final settlement’I have payed this within the offer time, however I received an email today stating the car park owners (Horizon parking) are requesting the other £80!! Honestly, as solicitors you would think they know the meaning of ‘full and final settlement!’
My advice to anyone who receives a letter from Gladsones solicitors is do everything via email, keep copies of everything as proof of their conduct, as their procedures and ethics are seriously debatable within the context of the law.

Low life

These people, Gladstones are the rotweillers of the carparking ANPR industry. My particular car parking company was Minster Baywatch. Utterly indifferent to reason. I think the whole set up stinks.
I have pointed out to the operation using Minster Baywatch as their carpark control, that their reputation is being sullied by being associated with operations of this low calibre lacking in decency.

My experience with Gladstones Solicitors has been extremely disappointing.

This matter related to a parking charge that ultimately resulted in a County Court Judgment (CCJ) because the court claim was sent to an address I had moved away from. I only became aware of the CCJ when my business loan application was initially declined.

What makes this even more frustrating is that Gladstones had previously written to me at my current address, yet the court proceedings were still sent to my previous address. As a result, I had no knowledge that court proceedings had been issued and therefore had no opportunity to respond before judgment was entered.

As soon as I discovered the CCJ, I acted immediately. I sent multiple emails over a period of 4–5 weeks asking for assistance and asking whether they would seek their client's instructions regarding a consent order to set aside the judgment. Every single email was ignored. I did not receive a single substantive response.

I also telephoned Gladstones to explain the situation. Rather than helping or confirming whether they would ask their client to consider my request, I was simply told there was nothing they could do and that I should seek my own legal advice.

In order to protect my business loan application, I paid the judgment in full immediately. Even after making payment, I was left chasing confirmation that it had been received.

I appreciate that solicitors act on behalf of their clients, but I expected basic communication, professionalism and courtesy. Instead, I was met with silence, a complete lack of engagement, and no willingness to respond to repeated correspondence despite my genuine efforts to resolve the matter.

A CCJ can have serious consequences for a person's finances, credit record and future plans. In my case, it affected my ability to obtain funding for my business. A simple response to my emails or a clear explanation would have made a significant difference. Solicitors dealing with matters that can have such a significant impact on people's lives should treat them with far greater care and urgency than I experienced.

In my opinion, the standard of communication I received was unacceptable. Based on my experience, Gladstones needs to significantly improve its customer service and the way it deals with people who are genuinely trying to resolve matters. I believe my experience raises serious concerns about the standard of service provided and hope it is carefully reviewed.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Gladstones Solicitors.

I will be reporting them to the legal Ombudsman.

If I can give less then 1 star I would

If I can give less then 1 star I would, this company had me on the phone multiple times for over 40 mins. Just so they can tell me to email. Once you email they take more than 14 days to get back to you. The email I received didn't even answer my question, the second email for proof of payment was ignored.

I'm not surprised to come on here and see 340 reviews of 1 star!

Shocking company someone should take them to court!

Dodgy corrupt solicitors

Dodgy corrupt solicitors, they're abusing the legal system working with a parking fine company and ripping people off. Their contact details doesn't work and they only collect your information and deals with you by email. I'll see you guys in court and expose your corrupt practices.

Awful aggressive and vile tactics to try and recover a parking fine that I had disputed due to being in the said shop for 10 minutes and inputting my number plate in the shops reg system to avoid parking fees. Dispute continued until they gave me a ccj which has totally ruined my great credit record!

Wow … what an absolute joke of a company ! First of all I receive a text from them demanding £130 .. before hand I didn’t hear anything about a parking fine so was shocked !! I fought my case as the parking fine I was being charged for should of also applied to my friend who attended the same day when the machine wasn’t working and she has not heard anything yet we both provided the same evidence on the day to the parking company . I have fought this since March with photos evidence etc and today I receive an email in my Junk mail saying it’s going to court !!! …. Oh and I forgot to mention the one time I got through to them on the phone I got shouted at and hung up on ! …. I am absolutely appalled !! I have now reluctantly payed the £130 but I’m sure I will get more fines now that it has been passed onto the courts ! Absolute joke and I am disgusted with the company and how they treat people .. money grabbing scammers !!!!

Avoid this firm at all costs!

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Their handling of the property buying process was nothing short of incompetent and created unnecessary stress, confusion, and delay from beginning to end.
They are completely unresponsive. Calls and emails from estate agents, my solicitor, and even their own client were routinely ignored. Basic communication, the bare minimum you would expect, was simply not there. Everything had to be chased repeatedly, often with no reply at all.
Their level of disorganisation is frankly unbelievable. They repeatedly asked for the same information despite having already been sent it months earlier, in some cases up to five months prior. This wasn’t a minor oversight, it happened again and again, showing a complete inability to manage the simplest of tasks.
Worse still, they regularly provided their own client with incorrect information. This caused ongoing confusion, unnecessary work, and avoidable delays that could have been prevented with even a basic level of competence and attention to detail.
It genuinely felt like they were working against the process rather than progressing it. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic standards is astonishing for a firm in this field.

If you value your time, money and sanity, do not use this firm!

GROSS…Passing off as solicitors

GROSS…Passing off as solicitors. They are purely Debt Collectors without mercy imo! Appealed a parking fine from HORIZON Parking on a set of genuine evidential grounds. Got a letter before action from this company without any acknowledgment of my appeal from HORIZON, appealed again…Not a shred of acknowledgement of my circumstances in their response either - initial telephone call with a call handler from Gladstones about the letter before action was traumatic, they were cold, rude and very disrespectful, told me appeal in writing. Did that, explained in more detail and the response I got from a ‘Legal Assistant’ just may have well said, blah blah, blah…PAY THE MONEY OR FACE LEGAL PROCEEDINGS! Intend to report this to the SRA and lobby the director of Customer Service UK at Tesco look up their exact email address as Trust Pilot can’t allow emails to be published. Hovwever contact name name is Jason.Terry at Tesco, UK, com
Not a good look for them is it? having direct links to two companies apparently happy to exploit vulnerable people!
@ Helen Poll, yes I’m interested!

My wife has had an email out of the blue stating she owes £280 for a parking fine that she’s never had any correspondence about before.
On further investigation the car registration has nothing to do with my wife and the address they have for her is also incorrect.
My wife contacted the company who are an absolute shambles employing awful staff that are extremely rude on the phone.
My wife’s mum recently passed away and these people are causing additional stress in her life that she does not need.
They have advised her it’s too late to appeal the charge that has nothing to do with her and that she needs to get legal advice.
Absolute joke of a solicitors and one that everyone should avoid at all costs

Disgusting service - They have been harassing me for money saying I owe from 2023 - upon checking my bank I have made all the transactions they are chasing for!! They take so long to come back to queries and you cannot get through to them on the phone at all. If they are chasing you make sure you double check the information as they seem to be a total mess on their side!!!!!
