Books vanished . Being ignored!

Books vanished since 2nd April! Not the first time since recent "update" in March. Emailed straight away and received automated reply that would be looked at after Easter. Emailed various email addresses every day, no reply and no books to revise from. Complaints phone number says number not in use. Disgraceful behaviour and will make a formal complaint in writing. Do not buy. !

Hello Jamie, we apologise sincerely for your disappointment in our responses to your query. We know we've been in contact about this request. As per our policy and our agreement with the publisher you purchased from, we cannot make an exception to our policy for a purchase from 2020, which no longer falls within our honourable window for access or refunds. We appreciate your understanding of these standard terms. Thank you, Tia

What a load of rubbish

What a load of rubbish. I've just bought 2 books. Spent most of the evening trying to get the verification code, then once I "Broke in" to my account neither of the books are there!!! A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. If I could give it ZERO stars I would. I can't even get a refund from the retailer.

DO NOT USE IT.

Absolutely garbage

Absolutely garbage. The interface is crap. To login you require verification emails, these often do NOT come, they aren't sent to spam, they simply do not arrive, or they are delayed significantly, we are talking 15+ minutes. It makes the app virtually useless.

Hi J S,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your frustration with our verification codes. We are truly sorry that this process caused you such a headache and made it difficult to access your account. That's not the experience we want you to have!

We use these codes (they’re a key security step) because protecting your information is super important to us but even with the best systems, we know things don't always work perfectly, and we apologise that the codes weren't coming through easily for you.

We completely understand that not everyone needs or wants that extra step every time they log in.

If you'd rather turn the codes off entirely, we can do that for you right away!

If you get in touch with our support team at help@glassboxx.com, they can remove this requirement from your account instantly.

We value that you placed your order with us and very much hope that we can resolve this problem for you quickly so you can get back to using the app hassle-free!

Thank you,
Tania

Much Better Experience After Installing the Correct macOS Version

I initially had a frustrating experience using the iPad version of the app on my Mac, which didn’t provide the best user experience.

However, after receiving a helpful response from the support team — specifically Sophie — I was advised to check which version I had installed. That prompted me to visit their official website, where I found a dedicated macOS version available for download.

After installing the correct version, I noticed a significant improvement. The macOS app supports a two-page (spread) reading mode, looks clean, and feels much more user-friendly. It seems to be working well so far, and I’ll continue to test it for any issues.

Suggestion: I strongly recommend that the developers make the macOS version available on the App Store to avoid confusion. Having downloaded the wrong version initially led to a poor experience that could have been easily avoided.

Thanks again to the support team for their quick and clear response — it made a real difference!

Hi Odai,

Thank you so much for your feedback and review. I'm glad to hear of the helpful response from Sophie and that we were able to help improve your experience and make sure you could access your books.

I have made note of your suggestion to work on getting a MacOS app available on the app store itself - I can assure you our roadmap is informed and driven by feedback like this.

Thank you very much,
Rory
