No gluten free options apart from a few expensive biscuits. Shelf stacker in quick food area confirmed no gluten free try Deli. Nothing.

Motorway Clip Joint
I really, really want to rate this place highly. It's a fabulous building in beautiful setting. But the service is poor. The prices are obscene. Predatory. It's a motorway clip joint.
Use to be good
Use to be good they now pick your breakfast for you before you picked your breakfast being the customer. I use to use this services a lot but not any more very poor service at the till also waiting a age for your drink
No longer the best
We always used this for many years but it is no longer as good. Just used the southbound and very disappointed. “Hot” chicken wrap was cold in places, barely warm in others, wife’s ham sandwich was cheap tasteless white bread with no butter and the female counter assistant was very rude to her as only half the order had been delivered but she was rebuked for standing at the counter as “other people were waiting behind her”. Then why not deliver the whole order together??! Plus the prices are high for all this poor service. Outside was grubby and needs sweeping/weeding. Chairs in poor condition. We shall not be stoping again.
The UK's best services by far!
What an amazing place and such a refreshing change from fast lane chain motorway services. This place is chilled, freshly baked and very well presented delicious breads and croissants at the entrance, a lovely farm shop and kitchen and stunning cafeteria using both locally sourced materials, food also locally sourced.
The lovely grassed roof gives the impression the building is submerged into the landscape and the pond with waterfall is simply a joy to relax to, encouraging plenty of wildlife in the bargain. The surrounding treescape is a stunning touch making it possible to forget you are actually at a motorway services!
This without doubt has been a environmentally sensitive and carefully well thought out project and a huge well done to the hard working family owners and indeed Westmorland for their efforts here.
Outstanding
Outstanding, such an amazing set up, far better than the other Commerical jungle service stations.
Environmentally Responsible, supporting local and indépendant businesses, clean and well laid out.
Great staff, all very helpful.
Terrible.
Terrible.
Went in for breakfast, but just one person was serving food, while 3 were serving just coffee.
We ordered bacon rolls: the rolls were freezing cold (straight from the fridge) so immediately chilled the bacon down.
We then had to wait in the endless, slow coffee queue to pay as our food got even colder.
Decided not to have a hot drink as we didn’t want a further delay.
The cashier seemed totally out of his depth (untrained?)
The coach driver in front of us told him four times he needed to sign in and just got blank looks, so the driver asked if he understood English.
The rolls were pappy and the bacon cold.
Never again.
£8.25 for an undercooked raw bacon roll and apple juice :(
Always liked this place but they’re just taking the mick now. Paid £3 for a small apple juice and £5.25 for a tasteless bacon roll which was 50% fat :( Last visit for me.
Not a typical motorway services. Impressive.
Having never been here before, we stopped off on our journey southbound and again northbound later in the week. On both occasions we found the services to be of a higher standard than the typical motorway service areas we regularly encounter.
The food choices were good, the food court and toilets were clean and the staff (both young and older) were all polite and attentive. The prices were reasonable and much in line with what you would expect to pay.
Clearly some effort has gone into the design and amenities on offer and there’s a quality feel about the place, similar to many on the Continent and the US.
We were impressed and would recommend calling in here. We will stop here again on further travels on the M5.
Ripping off customers
Called into the service station (petrol station) at Gloucester Services North Bound to purchase a Sausage Roll and Latte, it has always been £4.50 as a meal deal. The cost now stands at £4.50 for a Sausage roll and £4.00 for a Latte, what a rip off. Why do you feel it necessary to rip people off only to lose regular customers. I will not be using your services again.

Outstanding.
