I wanted to leave a poor review to give some balance and reality to the high rating of go-Etna.com

Etna trekking tour is a super average experience that I really would not recommend to anyone unless they are super into Etna.

The queues are insane. We literally spent 2.5h total queuing for the busses to go up and then to go down.

The views are not particularly impressive given Etna is the highest sole peak with nothing really around it.

The craters are cool, but you can see them for free from the car park in Rifugio Sapienza.

In our case we hiked in the snow, and the way down was particularly wet as the snow keeps getting into the shoes. Standing with wet shoes for 1h in the queue to go back is not a particularly great experience either.

The tour itself is at best moderately interesting. I heard other tour guides touch on pop culture like Star Wars filming, but ours did not do that. You can definitely learn more from reading the Wikipedia page about Etna.

The guides were friendly and tried to be helpful. No complaints there.

The communication and pickup at the hotel was perfect, the trip to 3000m is a great experience.

The excursion was amazing, but the guid Edo made it even better with all explanations, jokes, and professionalism. My daughter and I really had a blast and will recommend this to everyone.

From the booking and communication to the overall experience, everything was excellent. Even though the weather wasn’t on our side, the guides did their best and in the end we had a great time. Special praise to our guide David 🙂

The weather was terrible but our guide Francesco made it an enjoyable adventure. We travel extensively and engage guide services on all of our trips and Francesco was one of the best guides we have ever experienced. His knowledge of the area is remarkable and his delight in sharing some of his knowledge with us made it enjoyable despite wind, rain, fog, hail, and snow (not an exaggeration)the day of the tour. Great service and a warm and wonderful person to invest spending your time. Perfetto!

Wonderful tour of Etna and the lava caves. Great addition with collection and return to our hotel. Knowledgeable and entertaining guides with our safety and experience being their highest priority. I would heartily recommend this team for all you Etna needs.

Excellent guides, good varied experience. The biggest downside was two long waits doing nothing - once at the pick-up spot and once at the end at a restaurant. Would drastically shorten both of those.

We had an excellent experience with Go-Etna from start to finish. Everything was very well organised, smooth, and enjoyable, making our adventure truly memorable.

A special mention goes to Davide, our driver, who was outstanding. He was professional, friendly, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. His knowledge, positive attitude, and attention to detail really made a difference to our experience.
We felt safe, well taken care of, and able to fully relax and enjoy the trip thanks to him.

We will definitely be doing this again in the future and highly recommend this experience to anyone considering it. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!

Absolutely outstanding experience w go etna. Come physically prepared for a strenuous, but short(er) uphill hike. It is worth it!
The guides are outstanding and their shared experiences and outstanding education make this tour different from the cheaper tours around Catania.

Great tour, certainly a must-see. Especially our guide Francesco was fantastic.

We absolutely loved this tour! Our guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned so much about volcanoes and the surrounding landmarks — it was definitely the highlight of our Sicily trip. We hope to return during the non-winter season to climb Mount Etna’s summit, and we will definitely choose this team again!

Great tour guides, prompt, professional, knowledgeable and very accommodating!

We had an amazing experience, we were collected from our hotel and taken to Mount Etna, Sasha our guide explained about the volcano, local towns and environment and why the Volcano is so special. We had 3 stops and one into a snowy cave and Sasha made sure everyone was safe. We also had a short hike and upto a crater. It was steep and snowing but Sasha still made it fun and safe for the children and we had a little slide down the hill. We then stopped at a cabin to get drinks and snacks/ toilet break before heading back to our hotel. I highly recommend this trip.
