Gotoco programmes are a fantastic opportunity! They really look after you and support your journey, I had an incredible time.

Not many 20yrs old’s can say they have taught English in Thailand for 8 weeks for FREE! Having the opportunity to gain a TEFL or TESOL qualification has enabled me Job security at any moment in my life whilst also travelling and exploring a beautiful country.

It aided me in gaining confidence speaking in front of people, building relationships with people of all ages, and understanding different academic standards and curriculums across the world.

GoToco was a great company to work with openly offering support throughout the whole programme and being very clear with expectations as well as being happy to provide us any information that we requested. The programme trips were packed with lots of activity and allowed us to decompress and relax.

Gotoco was a great company to go with and supported me through my entire placement over the summer. I made friends that I know I’ll stay in touch with, and it has definitely inspired me to participate in another program in the future. Being surrounded by people with similar motivations and goals was fantastic; we all supported and looked out for each other. I’ve gained a lot more confidence, and I loved immersing myself in the local culture, food, music, and traditions.

This is such a valuable opportunity, developing your teaching, professional and life skills in a different country, immersed in another’s culture. It pushes you out your comfort zone in all the right ways, whilst also providing the right support

An amazing experience to gain an insight to living independently abroad and navigating yourself through a foreign country, whether that may be within a rural town or in a never sleeping city

I thoroughly enjoyed leading fun activities with my class. The fashion show and team sports were my favourites! The students had a chance to be creative and it was lovely to see them so happy and in their element. Immersing myself in new culture and making memories of a lifetime in a country that is so new to me. The locals are so welcoming and so lovely to speak to, even if there is a language barrier. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people. It really helps with confidence and even if you don't want to pursue teaching, it is a great experience. It allows you to meet new people from around the world, immerse yourself in new cultures and make the best memories. You will grow so much as a person. It has really made me a much more confident person and I believe in myself so much more now. I communicate much more efficiently and now have a further understanding about the future career I'd like to pursue.
Overall it was the best experience of my life. I learnt so much and met so many new people. The programme was run extremely well especially with so many people. I was nervous before the programme but was completely reassured when I arrived - even the gotoco staff were so welcoming and helpful.

I had such an amazing experience with Gotoco. This programme was a great way to explore China, while also developing many new skills. It was really rewarding seeing the progress my students made with their confidence and English proficiency over the course of the programme. I was also able to develop my teaching skills and feel much more confident now. China is such a beautiful country, and I had a great time exploring it with fellow participants. Would definitely recommend this programme to anyone who has an interest in both travel and teaching!

I recently went on the programme in Vietnam. It is a great programme if you are wanting to go into teaching, if you don’t want to go into teaching I still thoroughly enjoyed the programme and it is a great way to see Vietnam with everything being funded but it is a lot of work to complete the Tefl. However, I still had an amazing experience, I loved living with a Vietnamese family it was a really authentic experience and I really enjoyed the trips I did over Vietnam each weekend. It is a great way to travel and see the country. The company also offer an end of programme trip which is all funded which I loved.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to teach and travel on a funded placement, with a funded TEFL qualification. Gotoco was very supportive throughout, and they were really helpful when we had to deal with unpredictable & undesirable circumstances caused by the German partner company KCA.

Good experience with a reliable company. Communication could be improved but all the staff members are fab.

The highlight of my trip was the people I met, from the program coordinators to the other teachers and the children I have worked with. Other highlights have included the location, the cultural orientation, and the support. I have loved the opportunity to travel to a foreign country, learn about a new culture and meet new people, all whilst learning to teach. I also think the financial support given to enable me to do this program has been a real selling point.

Everything about the TESOL Level 3 July programme to Thailand was brilliant: the training prior to the teaching, the 6 weeks in the school, the facilities and hospitality we were provided, the people I have met, and the final reflection week. The highlights of my experience were the students and staff that I met and the way they welcomed me into their school and community. I feel as if I have gained an amazing professional and cultural experience. Thanks to this experience, my leadership skills have been greatly improved along with my adaptability skills when faced with sudden difficult challenges on the spot. I would definitely recommend doing a Gotoco programme to anyone, as it is a great experience for those who want to go into teaching or anyone that wants to improve their overall leadership skills. I also think it is a great programme for cultural insight and professional development.

This experience offered me the best summer of my life. It had everything you could ask for already organised and prepared to ensure an easy trip aswell as an encouraging teaching experience. The extra activities were so much fun, they were a great way to deload from all the teaching.

The support offered is faultless, the organisers are always checking in and making sure everything is okay with your placements.

It was honestly the best thing I have ever done! I 100% recommend.

Gotoco provided a fantastic opportunity for me to teach at a summer camp in Dali, China. Though the job was generally a little disorganised (as many free/funded overseas programs are)- once you get past this and are able to self-navigate the work becomes fun and interesting. Every day was a surprise and I had the chance to go on new field trips, try interesting food and explore the gorgeous Yunnan scenery as part of my day to day activities. The summer camp was very pleasant and perfect for if you’re and outdoorsy person. I’m very grateful to my Chinese colleagues at MeisenTe who showed me enthusiasm, constant positivity and were incredibly helpful with navigating life in China, both in and outside of work. I would recommend this program to anyone!

Why wouldn't I recommend Gotoco!? The programme offers everything you could imagine to immerse yourself truly into another culture, to learn a new skill, and to meet some incredible people. I can't think of a better way to have spent my summer, or to have tried a new career, as through teaching English with Gotoco.

Was an amazing way to spend the summer and get a TEFL qualification at the same time. Communication was a bit delayed but the people I met in Poland will stay with me forever.

I went on the Thailand Rural Schools program over the summer. I had a great experience with great support from the coordinators of the program and the TEFL support I received was out of this world.

Whilst on the 6 week placement I had great support through issues faced such as illness, and injury. The coordinators had great communication with my host ensuring I got the best quality healthcare and making sure I was ok. I felt like the priority to gotoco with my wellness being the most important thing to the coordinators.

I had many opportunities to travel during the weekends, I was lucky with four holidays falling on Mondays and Fridays allowing me to have a long weekend travelling. Going to see Chiang Mai, Bangkok (probably too many times), and Pattaya.

Overall I would recommend the program to anyone wanting to pursue a job in education whether in the UK or abroad. My reasoning to on the program was to gain school experience to help with my PGCE application, however after completing this program I hope to work in an international school in Thailand after completing my PGCE in the UK.

Gotoco is a fantastic company that facilitates meaningful cultural exchange! Teaching at a school in rural Thailand was such a rewarding experience which I am so grateful for. The coordinators were always friendly, helpful and supportive. I definitely recommend this experience!

I spent two months volunteering with Go-to.co, teaching in Vietnam, and it was an incredible experience. I got to stay with the loveliest host family, gain teaching experience, and travel the country on my days off. The orientation, placement and end-of-programme trip were all amazing.

However, the application process was very long, and communication during application was very slow and frustrating at times. Information on the website was not always clear.

Overall though, I had an amazing time on the programme.
