We started working with GoAbroad in 2018 to list our immersive language learning programmes on their site. We have received a good number of enquiries every year for our programmes. The team's expertise has been invaluable, providing us with insightful advice and steadfast support. This is a scam. My daughter paid over £1000 for a placement with this company. When they failed to find an internship for her they failed to refund her money. We have been asking for a refund for over 2 months and nobody has come back to us. This company is a disgrace.

Go Abroad has proven itself a valuable and relevant resource for The Real Uganda's international volunteer program. We have received countless referrals from their website from people actively travel planning over the past 7 years. We look forward to seeing how they continue to innovate to support our program.

I posted a review on how I was cheated by SEE TEFL, Chiang Mai, Thailand on Goabroad.com. I gave them all the evidence they needed and have more to give them about the well-planned scam. Initially, they published my review for a few weeks and then took it down and are now promoting a fraudulent TEFL school like SEE TEFL, Chiang Mai, Thailand online as 'One of the 6 best places to do your TEFL course in Thailand'.

Goabroad is an absolutely corrupt company that leans towards TEFL course providers. Don't waste your time writing to them and telling them your bad experience. They would rather publish 5-star fake reviews of TEFL course providers in stacks rather than the truth.

I have just finished a course on SIT TESOL Certificate, and it was a great experience. I had access to it through a schoolarship my country provided (ANEP together with the US embassy in Uruguay) to teachers who want to improve their teaching practices. The trainers as well as the way the course was designed, was great, I strongly recommend it!!

I am editing this review because I read online that Go Abroad were aware that ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd. have fake accreditation back in October 2022 - a website created by the owner (James Dwyer) of ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd. Go Abroad publicly announced that they would give ITT time to acquire proper accreditation. It is now June 2023 and Go Abroad still promotes ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd. with its known fake accreditation.

In response to Go Abroad's reply to this review, why would I write a review on Go Abroad and add more content to a fake reviews website?

I also wrote a review on the Complaints Board and Trusted TEFL Reviews, as have other disgruntled customers who fell for Go Abroad's promotion of this fake TEFL program.

Not only does it have fake accreditation. The owner James Dwyer also lies that he gives money to Save the Children, offers many TEFL courses that are just the one same course, and has been proven to write fake reviews for his program.

You can see that the vast majority of reviews for ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd. on Go Abroad are fake.

Why does Go Abroad persist in listing a fake TEFL program on its site?

The TEFL programs listed on Go Abroad are its customers.

Visitors to its website are not its customers.

Go Abroad earns its revenue from the TEFL and Volunteer programs on its site.

If Go Abroad were to delete ITT from its website, Go Abroad would lose a percentage of its revenue stream.

It's all one big scam, operating out of the Philippines - where the majority of Go Abroad's staff live and work (including the owners of Go Abroad).

ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd. also operates out of the Philippines, despite false contrary claims that it also has offices in the UK and the USA.

Based on the reviews published on Go Abroad, I enrolled in the ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd. TEFL/TESOL program.
The reviews MUST be fake because the (Level 5) course that I took with this company was poor.
It was just a few videos and essays.
I had to pay US$199 for the course certificate and the owner - James Dwyer - assured me it was valid for all teaching English jobs in Vietnam.
Well, that wasn't the case at all.
It appears that the word is out that this program is a scam, propped up by a fake accreditation website.
I left Vietnam without a job and I feel embarrassed that I fell for this scam. At Doha airport now waiting from my connecting flight back home to the States.
I fell for it because I believed the reviews on Go Abroad, which are clearly written by the owner.
Go Abroad needs to cancel this program from their website.
I am not the only person who has been scammed by James Dwyer.
Search Google for ITT INTERNATIONAL TEFL AND TESOL LTD SCAM.

I used the TEFL academy to do my Level 5 course and I really enjoyed it. The piece was amazing and there was tutor support whenever you needed it. The course was very insightful into the English language and gave me lots of pointers for lesson planning and different student ability needs to consider. The feedback also came back very quickly which meant I didn’t have to wait long for my grades. I was able to complete the course in about 2 months and this was with me taking a lot of breaks in between. Really recommend!

GoAbroad get affiliate kickbacks and they don't publish bad reviews. I wanted to do a TEFL online course and ITT TEFL and TESOL was a recommended program on GoAbroad. the program has over 600 reviews with all of them writing the program is excellent. I went ahead and paid for the Level 5 course. It was just a few videos and a lot of odt documents that had to be sent to the owner. When I complained to ITT TEFL and TESOL I didn't receive the product and service I'd purchased, I was kicked off the course without any explanation. I contacted my bank and they got my money back for me. Now I'm reading that ITT International TEFL and TESOL are not properly accredited and GoAbroad know about it but still have the program listed. This is a straight-up scam. Avoid ITT International TEFL and TESOL and don't believe the reviews on GoAbroad.

We exposed ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd for being a scam.

You can find the Trusted TEFL Reviews article online by searching for 'ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd scam'.

The program was caught writing its own 5-Star reviews and lying about its charity donations. It also owns the website that is meant to "independently accredit" it.

In addition to the above, it runs fake Level 3-5 TEFL courses and lies about being government regulated.

We wrote to GoAbroad and asked them why they list this scam TEFL program on their website.

We got crickets. Nada.

Then, we noticed a Google ad for ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd that was paid for by GoAbroad.

Don't trust any of the reviews on GoAbroad.

It earns its revenue from the programs that it lists on its website, so it cannot remain impartial.

19th October 2022 update.

GoAbroad responded:

“We are now giving ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd time to process TEFL accreditation from legitimate accrediting bodies. If they are not able to complete the process within the time given to them, we will be removing their listings from GoAbroad.com."

They might want to change the person that responds to their reviews because they have incriminated themselves.

GoAbroad has admitted that ITT International TEFL and TESOL have fake TEFL accreditation.

They are allowing ITT International TEFL and TESOL to remain on the GoAbroad platform, for an unspecified amount of time, until they no longer have the fake accreditation.

This means that people can still view the ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd listing on GoAbroad, with its fake accreditation, and are encouraged to purchase one of its fake TEFL courses.

All the while, GoAbroad is making money off the ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd listing, and ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd customers are wasting their money on a fake TEFL course with fake accreditation.

ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd clearly fake their own TEFL program reviews, lie about their charity donations, run a reviews website that promotes their courses and run the accreditation website that they claim "independently accredits" them.

We understand that GoAbroad would like to maintain as many TEFL program partnerships as possible because they stand to gain financially from those partnerships.

However, the evidence regarding ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd is irrefutable and they should be immediately removed from the GoAbroad platform, pending an investigation.

Allowing ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd to remain on the GoAbroad platform, for an unspecified amount of time, means that TEFL students will continue to be scammed.

James Anthony Dwyer owns and operates ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd and World TEFL Institute.

Both are scam TEFL programs.

There is no question about this.

It is, therefore, suspicious that GoAbroad is allowing ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd to remain on its platform when the evidence overwhelmingly points to it being a TEFL course program scam.

Referral money takes precedence on the GoAbroad platform and its readers are clearly susceptible to choosing a TEFL program based on fake reviews published willy-nilly on GoAbroad.

Shame on you, GoAbroad.

GoAbroad has edited its response to this review; completely deleting its previous reply and substituting it with a copy-and-paste response.

I added their original response to the text above in quotation marks.

The fact remains that GoAbroad knowingly promotes at least one TEFL Program that it concedes doesn't have legitimate accreditation.

There are also mass complaints about a rigged reviews system.

I have really enjoyed using Goabroad and the team always responds in a very timely manner. Everyone I have spoken to there is friendly and helpful and I really recommend them. Thank you!
