Worst Checkin Experience, Good Car

At checkin, there was no one at the desk (long time wait). Despite we paid/reserved for the child seat in advance they sent us to the car, there was no child seat. Then I walked back all the way to the office asking for the child seat. They didn't apologize and gave in my hand the seat at the office, then say: "Ok, we forgot, now you can bring it to the car." They were really rude and not helpful at the checkin. The car was new and without any problems.

Perfect rental experience

Great price, customer service, car and service! I highly recommend to get the full insurance package as it means receiving and leaving the car is extremely easy and fast!

DONT RENT FROM THEM!!

DONT RENT FROM THEM!!! They have charged me with damage to the car that was not there at all! Even after providing video and photo evidence they refuse to refund me back any money eventhough it is clear that the damages claimed were not there upon return of the car. they on their end didnt provide clear proof of damage. I returned the car 5 am, the office opens 8 am and at 6.30 they had already taken the money from my creditcard, how? when there was not even a representative available at the location until 8 am. and you had the time before 6.30 to so called have the car checked by a garage and examine damage? it is just a plain scam. The customer service told me ; i cannot see the damage on the photo evidence provided by you therefor i cant refund you, maybe because there is no damage to be seen?? really rediculous

they break their own rules

paid to be a driver on my husband's car hire so that I could use our shared credit card account despite not planning to drive, but they stipulated he couldn't use his card (added to his phone) with the same number etc. Were emphatic you could only pay in person with a physical card for a car you are main or a registered driver for. However, towards the end of the holiday they put the deposit charge for my son in laws car against my card (because they had mistakenly accepted his debit card) and this is in total contradiction to their own rules. Took it up with them to get my fee back, no joy.

Terrible.

I am disgusted with how we have been treated by this company and I do not recommend anybody to rent a car from them. They have completely ripped us off and will not refund us on damage which we clearly did not cause. Terrible experience.

Staff was friendly and helpful

Staff was friendly and helpful. The car was as booked in advance. At Lanzarote airport pick-up point could be better marked with company's sign.

Excellent experience

I had an excellent experience renting a Toyota C-HR Hybrid, which had an impressive fuel consumption of only about 5 L per 100 km.
From the very beginning, the rental process was simple and fast. There is a free shuttle bus to the rental office, where the staff were very friendly and helpful. The car itself was quite clean and in great technical condition.
I especially appreciated features like wireless Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist, which made the driving experience very comfortable.
With the premium insurance option, the deposit was only €200 with a zero deductible (franchise), which was also a big plus.
After returning the car, there is also a free shuttle transfer back to the airport.

It's a bit hard to find the van pickup, but otherwise, the whole experience was great and the car was very new and ran well.

It's my 9th rental from Gobycar

It's my 9th rental from Gobycar. I always go to them when i'm in canary island or parts of spain with covarage. I never had an issue with them and they don't have overprice cars on their website to catch tourist on insurance trap. Everything afordable and insurance is not double price.
They are doing great customer service.
