I really cannot recommend Angus, Paul and the Team at Godalming Funeral Services highly enough, they have been so caring in helping us to have the type of funeral our family wanted for my husband. They have been compassionate and professional from start to finish and I really can thank them enough. 5 star plus excellent service

I would like to highly recommend Godalming Funeral Services, even from the initial phone call where Paul was quite literally running out the door, still took the time and made the effort to take the call, was very apologetic and said Angus would call us back within 10 minutes and that he did, and I actually think this helped make the decision there and then that this would be the company we would like to use, and their helpfulness and willingness carried all the way throughout all the dealings we had with them, I has made the whole process at this difficult time so much easier, we will definitely use them again the next time their services are needed, myself and the rest of the family would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

It started well. I particularly liked the way one could design one's own funeral according to wishes. The initial contacts were good. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. Admittedly the problems were not solely caused by the company. There was a particularly awkward local clerk who did not seem to want to engage and changed her mind. Godalming Funeral Service provided a service that was OK in places but at times they were very unresponsive and would not give us the explanations we wanted. At one point they even did the opposite to what we wanted. They seemed to want to force us to go down one route. In the end we went along with it to get the funeral over. At some points in our experience they seemed to be lacking the knowledge to proceed and even gave poor advice. I could not recommend them, though I know other users have found them to be OK. All is probably well if it is a simple cremation without any cemeteries involved. This review is written some time after the experience to allow us to grieve properly.
