I recently completed my SMSTS Refresher with Paul Stott, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Paul Stott is incredibly enthusiastic, engaging, and clearly passionate about teaching. His delivery style keeps you focused, involved, and genuinely interested throughout the course.

The information was presented in an excellent manner—clear, structured, and easy to understand. Paul Stott made even the more complex topics feel straightforward, and his real‑world examples added real value to the learning.

Overall, a well‑delivered course by an excellent instructor. Well done, Paul Stott.

Paul Stott was an excellent trainer - he turned what is typically quiet a 'boring' subject into 2 days of enjoyable and entertaining work, to the point that it didn't feel like a training course. Perfect level of professionality mixed with informal discussions with the group. Definitely one of my more memorable training courses. Did the sssts site supervision course over 2 days..thoroughly enjoyed it and John was very helpful,informative and motivated at getting everyone a pass..plus we had a good laugh as well..highly recommend any of the courses available..onwards and upwards. 💪

Recently completed the SSSTS course with John from Goldcross Training. The whole process was spot on from start to finish. Would 100% recommend.

John Fitzmaurice was brilliant and was also a top bloke! He made the 2 day SSSTS course enjoyable and didn't overload with info it was evenly spread out making it easier to understand and digest. I highly recommend anybody looking to do this course to do go ahead and do it.

I Was sceptical about about doing an online course but found it relaxing but straight to the point. Mr Norman was very knowledgeable clear and concise but extremely helpful at the same time.

Enjoyed the refresher course and would happily do another online course again

I had an excellent experience on SMSTS course, and a huge part of that was thanks to Paul Stott. He is an outstanding trainer whose teaching style keeps everyone engaged from start to finish.

His way of delivering the course, explaining complex topics with real-life examples, and encouraging participation made every session interesting and easy to understand. He has a remarkable ability to keep the class interactive and never boring, which makes learning both enjoyable and effective.

Paul is truly a valuable asset an absolute gold standard trainer and a real credit to Goldcross Training Institute. I highly recommend attending any course delivered by him.

If I’m honest I was dredging doing this course online. I’m not very good with I.T.
And did not know what to expect.
Paul stott was the instructor a man with a great sense of humour and quite frankly a man off grate knowledge.he had all the candidates including me at ease very short order and had us all contributing and in conversation. I was very nervous about the final exam but he assured us all that he thought we were all very capable of completing this course with success.
I’d like to thank him very much for sharing his experience, knowledge and awesome
