This luxurious country house hotel is consistently wonderful. Having stayed 6 times already I would fully recommend and without doubt I will be coming bi annually for my remaining year's. The food is 7* Michellin standard and the staff are equal to the overall standard.
If you're visiting up North then this place with it wonderful tranquil gardens is a must!

Went for afternoon luxury tea and at £40 each we were expecting something special .
On previous afternoon teas which we have been to and half the price this is the worse by far and is not worth £80 for 2 people.
The bread was nothing special and it was fine for a basic afternoon tea but there was no luxury about it.
My coffee was only Luke warm and while we were having our afternoon tea guest that were checking in were brought through with suitcases.
While we were there around 10 guest were brought through with suitcases which shouldn't of happened.
The only thing that saved the day was the beautiful gardens and building.
Shame really because it is a lovely place but need to up there menu big time if they won't to charge that price and perhaps some better bread

This truly is a Hidden Gem, we booked the Garden Luxury room for our anniversary and were taken aback and thought we had been given the wrong room which had a huge luxury bed and views across the fields and beyond. The staff were amazing from meeting Dawn on reception to the waiting staff who were all very professional and went out of their way to make sure you were well looked after, even the owners dog walker was nice and chatty. We had the tasting menu which was amazing and the best tasting food we have had in years and really should be awarded a Michelin star. We had never heard of Goldsborough Hall and only found it when looking for a restaurant on the Yorkshire Good Food Guide. We will definitely be going back and can't recommend highly enough. Well done to all the staff and keep up the great work.
