Please avoid, poor installation & poor "customer service"

We have had a few issues with our fitted wardrobes that have been provided by Gooding group.
For the first one they just sent us a "fix it yourself" email with instructions.
Surprisingly this didn't fix it and when someone finally came round the original installer hadn't fitted one of the brackets.
Our communication from Gooding has been poor and any replies we are lucky to receive has been unprofessional, short, too blunt & unfriendly.
Not even a Hi.
We would NOT recommend Goodings.

Replacement panel for wardrobe

I contacted the Gooding Group because the wardrobe they had fitted 10 years ago needed a new side panel. Matt replied the same day and arranged for a new one. He was so efficient with his quick response and everything was sorted in a couple of weeks. The installer Jack was very professional. I couldn't fault anything. Highly recommended.

Amazing fitted wardrobes

Just had 3 rooms of fitted wardrobes by the Gooding Group. The quality is fantastic and the fitting superb.
Love the tower units complete with drawers and the top shelves.

A place for everything :)
Would definitely reccommend.

Poor coms… shock

Our fitted wardrobe doors have started to scrape against each other in around 5 months since fitment. We’re no longer able to use it due risk of damaging the sliding doors.

What makes this worse is that I have logged this complaint with Redrow on the 23rd of November and I’m still yet to receive any contact from The Goodings Group. I’ve sent multiple emails to Redrow to follow up and all they’ve said is that The Goodings Group will contact me.

Given how recently the fitted wardrobe was installed, I do not think it’s unreasonable to be contacted in a swift fashion to have the issue fixed.

It’s a shame that my first review has to be so negative but I felt compelled to do so. Communication is such a big part of business and gets overlooked time and time again.

DO NOT BUY ANY SERVICE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
Poor quality of build.
Incorrect size of wardrobe door, awful customer service.
Their fitter missed my appointment multiple times, and not taking any responsibility to fix my build in wardrobe
I can’t use my wardrobe in the last 11 months!!

New wardrobes

Great from start to finish from the whole team involved at goodings.

From measuring to our quote to getting them delivered and fitted has been a great experience and we are over the moon with our new wardrobes, they have done a great job. thanks to kamile the fitter for his excellent work.

Its a shame to see other reviews on this as we have had nothing but great service and it does not reflect how professional and efficient they have been for us.

Disgusting customer service

Disgusting customer service. No updates on our order which we paid in full for. Unanswered requests on updates for weeks at a time. GOODING GROUP lied to us saying a fitter had attended the property to size up the storage. No appology. Only today this information has come to light and I have requested a full refund. Buyer beware, look at other reviews which speak for themselves. What a waste of time and effort.

Be expected to get a unfinished wardrobe

I have ordered a be-spoken fitted wardrobe for my new build house from Gooding Group via the developer.
It costed me £1190 but the fitting is poorly done.
Screw left unfitted, paints are not done properly.

I have raised it through the developer and Gooding's business development manager replied as it is what is expected and refused to follow up.

So, be prepared you will find paints not done and screw unfitted if you decided to order from them.

Poor Customer Service

I moved into a new property and the Oak fitted wardrobe was lovely, decided i would like the matching furniture as per the brochure. Called twice in November, was give to begin with the wrong email address and told to email. Heard nothing so went onto FB as their website was under construction and found the correct email address, and left a message 10 days later still no reply. Just tried to ring again and was told all the sales people are out on site so it takes forever for them to answer. All i want is to know what matching furniture / sizes they have and to order it but nobody on the phone can a) send me a brochure of this or b) look it up and tell me the information! I honestly have never had so much trouble trying to buy something!

Brilliant from start to finish...

I decided to use Gooding Group to supply and fit bespoke wardrobes in my property. They were brilliant from start to finish, the process was made really easy, there was always someone to answer any questions I had, and the quality and finish of my wardrobes is fantastic. I would recommend.

Loving our new wardrobes¬

By the time we moved into our new build, our Gooding wardrobes were already there and I love them! The finish is just perfect (though I now fear sticky fingers!!), and they fit so perfectly in my new bedroom. Would really recommend

Awful experience

Was advised to use Gooding through my Builder, wish I hadn't.

Within 2 weeks, the plastic coating on the MDF wardrobe frames were peeling off. From little to usual contact. Poor materials used for the prices they charge.

Customer service was poor. Advised that someone was coming to fix and replace parts on the wardrobe... then didn't turn up after i took time off to be home. Then didn't contact me for a whole week after to apologies or reschedule.

I've managed to get a full refund from my builder and I'm getting the wardrobe removed at my own expense. Waste of time, money and effort!

The worse possible supplier

The worse possible supplier. Their sales team took 2 weeks to return several contacts, once approved I had to chaise their office for the invoice so payment could be made and order sent to production. After 4 weeks I discovered my order was never requested as the invoice never sent. Honestly, I think I contacted them over 10 times, so definetely I don’t recommend this company. I canceled the order!

Awful customer service

Honestly, do not use Gooding Group for your wardrobes if you can help it (we couldn’t as they were used by our housing provider). Customer service is shocking, I wanted to get some interior organisers fitted and had to chase them several times just to get this sorted, it felt like they were not bothered about taking this job on. Then when I specified which interior I wanted, I asked for the picture they had sent, didn’t notice that it was extra to get the second rail in, so I essentially paid nearly £800 for a few shelves to be put in. Extortionate prices for such bad service. Really do not waste your time.

I have Gooding fitted wardrobes…

I have Gooding fitted wardrobes installed as part of my new build specification and am having difficulty in getting any form of contact from them, even going via the housebuilder customer care team !
The soft close mechanism isn't functioning and whilst it's not that important in the grand scheme, it would have been courteous of them to contact me after having been asked on 2 occasions already. They're now being asked a third time by the builder !
