Google get your house in order.

I have the Pixel 9a phone for about a month I love this phone it seems crisp and the results from the camera are great, the screen is bright and the colour palette is awesome...... BUT..... The icons on the screen disappeared I have to turn the phone off and on to get them back. Looking on a Google users group page this isn't a new fault somebody saying this happens on their Google 3! Some "know it all" from somewhere saying they are aware and working on a fix. I would suggest Google look seriously at your products and not dismiss problems and maybe look at why their products seem to have a fair selling history and behind the market leaders. Plus guys I have no intention as suggested keep resetting the phone!
You need to get your house in order Google before it's too late for me as the phone is this unreliable while only being a month old it's got to go as what will go wrong next?
Plus guys make it a bit easier to be reachable...

Totally unintuitive, incredibly irritating mobile

Oh, groan, Unfortunately, I have a Google Pixel9a, it's much worse than my previous Huawei which was pretty awful.
Tried for weeks to turn the Emergency SOS first page off, this requires a pin to let you into this sad mobile.
I turn it off repeatedly in SETTINGS without effect, it will reappear.
Making calls is awkward, ANSWERING and putting in a new number, if not in contacts.
If IT IS in contacts, then it does not follow the recipient will be called.

Most instructions, like stopping their silly noise alerts, are ignored.

Terrible piece of kit. Even worse, I am stuck with it.

Would have thought with their enormous resources, Google could have produced a phone showing great design incorporating intuitive features, not making it a dreaded burden to pick it up.
Just shows, doesn't matter how big you are, your brain can ooze out its creative cells.

Taste of the carribean food and drink…

Taste of the carribean food and drink festival was a really brilliant event. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it but all my family went from babies to elderly and we had a fantastic day
We took some chairs and blankets and a small beach tent for the baby as it was sunny and hot
The food, music and atmosphere was brilliant and we can't wait for next year

Stop Your Dedication to Google Pay – They Don’t Deserve It

I have been a loyal Google customer for years, spending thousands through their platforms, but my recent experience with Google Pay and Google Play has completely destroyed my trust.

Case Reference: 6-6544000039507

A £50 Google Play gift card — purchased in person with cash from a reputable UK store — was blocked by Google without any valid reason. This card was a gift for my 8-year-old son’s . No fraud. No misuse. A fully legitimate purchase. Yet Google hid behind vague “security concerns,” refused to provide any evidence, and gave us no chance to prove our identity or resolve the issue.

Instead, they closed the case with a cold, copy-paste email. No accountability. No transparency. Just leaving a child disappointed and a paying customer treated as if I were a criminal. This isn’t “security” — it’s Google holding customer money hostage.

If Google can randomly block legitimate gift cards, ignore proof, and keep your money without recourse, then how can anyone trust them with Google Pay or Google Play?

I am urging others: stop your dedication to Google Pay. Protect yourself. There are many alternative payment platforms — Apple Pay, for sure — that value customers and act with fairness and transparency.

Beautiful lunch

Had a lovely lunch today at The Loft. Panini with ham and melted cheese it came with delicious homemade coleslaw, salad and crisps. Also had a cappuccino with finished it off perfectly

Exceptional Service and Peace of Mind – Thank You PC Lettings

Finding a property for my son in Ulverston—especially as we're not from the area—felt like a daunting task. However, the team at PC Lettings made the entire experience smooth, reassuring, and genuinely pleasant.

From the initial viewing with Sophie, who was warm and informative when she met my husband and son, to the ongoing support from Catherine and Laura, the service has been exceptional throughout. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail took away so much of the stress and anxiety I had about securing a safe and welcoming flat for my son as he starts his new job.

We are due to collect the keys from Ken, and based on our experience so far, I have every confidence he will continue the same high standard of care and support.

My car was in for it's annual MOT, The staff was excellent i drove the vehicle to the garage and one of the staff drove me home and on completion of the MOT was informed and picked up what more could you ask for. The garage was Motor Works South Molton

Additionally search function operates like stevie wonder in a dark room with the lights turned off. Does google even care about these reviews? Hell no. I've made countless requests and they ignore everything. So happy that chatgpt, copilot and other ai are starting to make an impact. Google got too big for it's boots, hopefully they crumble.

I and my husband went to HSBC UK branch at CB2 3BZ to make enquiries of our banking issues.

Firstly, we would like to thank Welly Charewa for his perfect and helpful services. He is really very familiar with the bank system as well as the banking operational knowledge, and so he was very quick and with full confidence to solve my problem. Thanks so much for his prompt and effective way to find the solution of my unknowing of the 'disappeared' US$ during the online transfer processing. Thanks so much for his patient and courteous work manner.

Secondly, we would also like to thank Ayush Keshri for his good sense of teamwork spirit. While we were waiting for Welly Chrewa to have his further help and service for my husband concerning his saving accounts, Ayush Keshri took the initiative to approach us as Welly Charewa was busy serving another customer. Similarly, Ayush Keshri was quick to answer all our questions. Not only that, he took the initiative to try to understand our accounts condition and arrangements, and he tried to explain and offer a better way to keep the savings with better interest rates. Thank you so much for his kindness and consideration for the goodness of his customers. We really appreciated much of what he had done for us.
