Ever since Goostrey Lane vets opened their doors, my dogs have been part of their family. James, the head veterinarian, stands out with his holistic care approach, setting him apart from others. His exceptional attention to my pets has been unwavering, especially when one of my dogs passed away last year; the compassion and quality of care during his final months were outstanding. My remaining dog, who has several health issues, benefits greatly from the attentive care and guidance provided by James and his dedicated team. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice to anyone in need of veterinary services.

I’ve had my dogs registered with Goostrey Lane vets since they opened. I particularly liked the fact that James the most senior vet takes a more holistic approach than other vets. I can’t praise him enough for looking after my dogs ,one of which sadly passed away a year ago but the care he received in his last few months was fantastic.My other dog has multiple health problems and James and his team are always there for me when I need help and advice. I cant recommend the practice highly enough.

We've known James from him being a student/newly qualified vet and he's been caring for our cats for well over 20 years. It was without hesitation that we followed him when he set up his own practice - Goostrey Lane Vets just after the pandemic.
James is an exceptionally skilled vet, not just in the routine care of pets, but he's the vet you need in a crisis and when your heart is in your boots.
This is the situation we found ourselves in recently when our beloved cat suddenly and mysteriously became very poorly following surgery which had gone well.
The dedication and care she received from James and the team was outstanding and we had complete trust and confidence in them all. Also, the kindness, thoughtfulness, advice and support we received throughout the whole process went above and beyond anything we could have asked for.
James has built a great team of Vets and multi-skilled caring practitioners aound him. We really can't recommend Goostrey Lane Vets enough.

James: an outstanding vet who intuitively combines his obvious clinical (constantly updated) expertise, insight & experience with empathetic, compassionate & just utter kindness to his 'patients' and their owners, there is a reason that he has an army of devoted clients who routinely travel 45mins for a consultation as we do, This truly is the gold standard of care you can give your beloved pets, but with pricing ethics that put large corporate vet practices to shame.
