Sales pitch to heavy and intense, pressured me to sign up immediately to secure tutor but then attempts to change tutor after i sign up. They Did Not adhere to the Go student policy when I followed the cancellation process 9.3/12.7. Customer service poor. They ignored my repeated cancellation requests under there 'extraordinary circumstances', pressuring me to have another tutor when their first tutor did not fulfil their requirements by sticking to agreed dates/times, tutor cancelled and rearranged sessions with no agreement or was not available. Their cancellation fee is extortionate, I refused to pay it in line with 9.3/12.7 of there policy. They tried to make me remain in a 12 month contract. Horrid ordeal. DONT JOIN. I had to request my bank recall payments made minus one credit cost, my bank advised me to cancel my card which I did twice because they still took a payment. I challenged Go student repeatedly to adhere to there policy 9.3/12.7 but they refused to acknowledge me and were adamant I have another tutor or pay £200 cancellation fee when 1st session was the 7th may, the 14th may issues with tutor started by cancelling/rearranging/being sick and 22nd may, i cancelled the membership via email. But there membership and customer service email address didnt acknowledge me. After numerous emails and the sales women was being an emotional bully trying to pressure me to stay and try another tutor which would lock me into there contract further- literally ignoring my cancellation requests. DONT JOIN. Not worth it. SEE BELOW THE AUTOMATED RESONSE BELOW, THEY IGNORED MY CORRESPONDENCE FOR A MONTH BUT NOW SENDING BELOW THAT IS FOR CHAT BOT. NO THANKS. DONT USE THEM

Absolutely disgusted with the service I received. I wanted to cancel as it was not working out for my daughter, I asked for the same time each week and lessons were not available.
I asked for a refund of the remaining 4 lessons and was told they could not refund me.
I was never told I was in contract and if I cancelled I would be be charged an exit fee on top of the 4 lessons still available.
The people were polite however their policy is the worst I have ever know.

Alex is very good at using his students interests to help improve and encourage learning. He’s very friendly and my son has enjoyed his lesson with him. Thanks

Disliked the lack of respect to agreements and excess charges. These people don't mention you must cancel subscription in advance online when they call to sell their program.

The tutor experience was fine, no problems at all; but and this is a huge but, dealing with the company and leaving the company has been exceptionally problematic. I am hundreds of pounds extra out of pocket because of absurd charges (including an additional monthly charge for something never asked for and never used) and problems with their cancellation process. I am still waiting on a partial refund they agreed to give me.
This could have been entirely avoidable, but sadly actually speaking to a real person is nigh on impossible - you are simply redirected to a chat bot which tells you to go through the same steps that have already failed. Then when given an option to book a call to speak to someone for 2 days time, they then cancel it the following day.
Only when things have completely broken down do you actually get to speak to someone.
This started so well, but the ending has completely soured things. More disappointed than I can express
Avoid this company, I wish I had.

It is a bad experience when Tutor does not inform when he is not coming for the lesson or coming late.

Michael Bekoe has been teaching my three children Maths and Science for over five years now, and we cannot thank him enough for the incredible difference he has made.

He tailors his teaching perfectly to each child, stays consistent and committed, and genuinely cares about their progress and confidence. We are so grateful for all his hard work and dedication – I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Sao has been an excellent tutor for my son. He is patient, approachable, and explains concepts clearly at a level that is appropriate for his student’s age and ability. He quickly found common ground with my son, which helped him feel comfortable and engaged during lessons. Sao is also very flexible with lesson bookings, making it easy to fit sessions around our schedule. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and supportive tutor.

She is really helpful and thorough with her approach

I have no explanations, I don’t know if my child was motivated by something else but I believed it was his tutor engagement and teaching that transformed him. My Son was without grade in his SATS exam in English language which propelled me to get him a tutor in English language. The school Base Grade was set at 3 points for him and he smashed through and came out with a whopping 7 points. I noticed the changes earlier but I was waiting for the school report before I give my remarks. Gostudent is wonderful, well done and thank you our Tutor. Cheers 👋

Takes into consideration current learning at school

I would highly recommend avoiding this company.
You can never speak to anyone, all communication is via WhatsApp and not a human and instead an AI representative.
We want to cancel our membership but have been locked out of the dashboard and cannot log back in.
I have sent several emails explaining this and the response I got was a threat that if the May and June payments are not made they will pass this onto a debt collection agency!
The situation has been handled disgracefully and I will be making a formal complaint to the governing body about this company.

Excellent teacher.

Avoid at all costs!!!
You may be charged after your yearly subscription has ended and then refused a refund.
Even if you cancel your subscription in advance and receive written confirmation that no further payments will be taken, you could still be charged.

I regret signing up for GoStudent programs, Please please go and read the T&C before signing up, I made a big mistake and believe what have been told over the phone. Things to notice and remember:

1. You are signing up for a fixed terms of payments.
2. You lessons collapse every month you take it or not.
3. You can skip or pause for one month but this month will get rolled over to next payment cycle. That means you still pay for the whole term.
4. Teacher will not let you join the lesson after 15-20 mins and credit goes off. Thought you still got rest of 50 mins.
5. No issue with the teacher itself but Platform is total rip off.

Avoid, and do not bother to signup for this.

Us usually we are happy with Laureen .every lessonn we had , good communication and good explanation..
