It works very well even with the level of sunshine in Europe. It is also well made. I wish I had ordered a spare tray so that I could cook continuously.

GoSun reached out by email to discuss the problem I thought I was having with my new Sport-E solar oven within 4 days; it’s my first solar oven. My mistaken expectation was that a food tray would not have a hole/holes in it (at the end). (I do not normally cook with pans that have holes in them.) So, when I saw the smooth domed “Attachment” with a long bolt on pg 2 of the User Manual, I presumed it filled that hole during cooking. I did not have that part in my product box. But that “Attachment” on page 2 (and pg 13, which I found later) wasn’t meant to fill the hole as an end cap of sorts. That "Attachment" is the scrubber—IRL it’s an undomed, wheel-shaped, unsmooth, short-bolted scrubber. And a scrubber was, in fact, in my product box. So, I learned there is NO end attachment that is domed. There is only a wheel-like scrubber which does not resemble their drawings on pp 2 & 13 of the User Manual. Unfortunately, GoSun’s grammatically correct, structured, and professional (AI?) responses sounded good and helpful but lacked the logic and reasoning required to create understanding. Then they made two illogical and unnecessary (Ailogical?) attempts to solve the "problem." I finally realized…all they had to say was: “The 'Attachment' drawings on pages 2 and 13 of the User Manual are, in fact, the scrubber. There is no other end “Attachment.” You can cook without extensive leaking using the food tray with holes as designed. We’re sorry if the image of the scrubber Attachment in the User Manual threw you off.” But AI couldn’t figure that out. Regardless, case is now closed. I baked scones in it yesterday and it worked like a charm. I live in the desert southwest and do not intend to use the scrubber while cooking (as some online folks suggest doing to fill that hole), since the oven can reach 700 degrees.

I started playing with my Sport-E this past week and it has quickly become my favorite tool for the day. The electric feature works although beware some things might burn on the bottom if you cook it very long. The solar cooking works as advertised; in the morning I will supplement with electric for 20min to help get food up to temp, then unhook and let it ride with the available sunlight. Favorite foods often involve rice and fingerling potatoes sliced thin. This has actually given me a reason to warm up to potatoes; I never liked them much before. Small chunks of stew beef, or similar chunks of other meats, work well with the rice and potatoes.
