I wish you could give zero stars they renewed again, and even though I called right after receiving their invoice, they claim that they cannot refund me and are charging me for the full year. We are not allowed to use their service due to compliance and see we have not used it for the full year again yet refuse a refund. Worst customer service.

This is the WORST @#$% company I have EVER done business with. If you don't cancel your subscription in advance, even if you call the same day you see they put a charge through, they say you have to be charged for the entire next year. EVEN IF YOU CALL THE SAME DAY AND THEY DO NOT TELL YOU IN ADVANCE THAT THEY ARE RECHARGING YOU.

I HAVEN'T USED THE STUPID SYSTEM IN A YEAR AND THEY HOPE YOU FORGET THAT YOU HAVE AUTO BILLING ON SO THEY CAN CHARGE YOU AGAIN, AND YOU HAVE TO CALL TO CANCEL AUTO BILLING, RATHER THAN TURNING IT OFF ON LINE.

THEY GUYS ARE THE BIGGEST SCAM GROUP I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH....IF YOU CAN EVEN MAKE IT THROUGH THE MOST AWFUL AUTO ATTENDANT SYSTEM ON THE PLANET!

When you sign up they want you to enter your credit card for the annual fee, that way you don't have to remember. Don't do it because if you don't give them notice, 30 or 60 days whatever, and they charge you they will not refund or reverse the charge even if it happened the same day.

Just a heads up to GoToMyPc subscribers:
I closed my business 4 months ago. Have not used GoToMyPc for probably nine months so the app was not even on my mind with everything else involved with closing. They just charged me $420 for another year. When I called and told them I do not even have this remote computer anymore, they said too bad, read your contract. BE SURE TO CANCEL YOU CONTRACT BEFORE ITS RENEWAL DATE OR YOU WILL HAVE THE SAME ISSUE.

The product works well for file transfer and for control of a remote computer. It is well supported. It is too expensive for casual use by an individual. Their refund policy is once you sign their agreement there are no refunds.

Terrible Customer Service

If you want to experience textbook bad customer service, gotomypc will demonstrate that for you. I cancelled my subscription the date of the auto renewal. The customer service rep told me I had to cancel the day before and was consequently billed for another entire year. A supervisor referred me to the terms and conditions rather than listening to a long-time customer. I then had to place multiple separate calls to ensure the upcoming subscription was cancelled. The company has no understanding of customer service. Will NEVER consider using them again. I warned my IT consultants about how bad this company is to ensure no one else has the same experience I did.

Easily one of the worst build / maintained packages I've ever seen.

It is so clear this company bought and didn't bother updating or does the ABSOLUTE minimum to make it a useable product.

I build apps for a living, I could not get this garbage to work on my Macbook after a week of troubleshooting.

It constantly asked me for new permissions, and other bs, never remembering it state and I never actually remotely connected to my Macbook, EVER.

This company is not reliable or honest. After years of problems with the service and connectivity issues we just quit using it. An auto charge was put through for another year of service and we immediately notified the company of cancellation. We did not know they were charging another year, no contact was made until the charge was put through. The company refuses to cancel the subscription or provide us with the original contract & terms. Beware this is not a great product.

This company is running a shady operation. I attempted to cancel many months ago. Subsequently, I just received a $240 annual renewal on my credit card and called immediately to their "customer service" department. The agent directed me to go online and cancel, which immediately triggered a cancelation date 12 months from now. He told me they could not refund the charge, and that they have a no refund policy. I requested a supervisor, he told me after putting me on hold that a supervisor was not available. I got a follow up email the next afternoon that my subscription was good for another 12 months and that they could not refund my credit card due to their no refund policy.

This place a JOKE! I filed a complaint with BBB. Always get the run around with customer service everytime I call. I’m ready to start class action lawsuit!

GoToMyPC automatically renewed an account for my closed business. Their renewal said "If you mistakenly renewed your plan, our Customer Care Department can make any needed adjustments to your account to reflect the correct plan and charges." They refused to do this and charged me for a full year in the future at $445. I highly recommend avoiding this company. Customer service will not give me a mailing address, although written, mailed notice is required in the terms.

update on 8/26/25: After I filed a negative review with the BBB, GoTo refunded my fee.

we called a year ago to cancel as we are retired. We never got any notice of it coming due…..They would not refund our money, but told us they would only charge a “portion” of the upcoming year. Then this year we GOT CHARGED AGAIN! I talked to many supervisors to no avail. Didn’t even discount this year. We ONLY got notice the day it was already charged to us! I called them WITHIN HOURS of this charge, but they refused to refund any bit of our money!!!

I received a notice after renewing a 2 pc account for $831.00. I called immediately to cancel service. It took 20 minutes on the phone and they were completely unwilling to refund anything, even though I don’t need the service due to changes with work. This is a gotcha company.

No help! when you try to cancel service it just keeps looping back and forth! When you talk to someone they send you to "technal" support only to sit on hold and never come on! I am suing them with a class action lawsuit! if interested in being apart of it contact tkeene hot mail

I canceled my subscription 3 years ago and these predators are still insisting it is active! Stay away from this bad business- report them to the BBC and other federal and state regulators! David

I have used GoToMyPc for decades and it has been an incredible tool for my business and me personally. I have more than one computer as many people do and you can't carry them all around with you and they are in different places. I can access any computer from anywhere. What is making me write this review is I left my laptop at my daughter's house in Virginia and I live in NY. All I asked her to do was open and plug it in. She was coming in the following week, but in the meantime, I was able to access my computer and the service was like it was on my desk. This was a life saver. Thank you GoToMyPC for decades and decades of amazing technology and service. BTW, on the few occasions I had to call customer service they were quick and I was completely 6 star satisfied.

This service is a total rip off. They charged me $420, on an automatic billing. An hour later they refused to refund me. Total con artists.

They took payment from credit card without authorization or prior notice , refused to refund the money , would not recommend using them.
