Dunelm

I bought a very large canvas picture on 4th February, delivered 7th February.
Unfortunately it was slightly damaged. Since the afternoon of the 7th I have been searching for access to Dunelm customer service. I held their customer service line for 25+minutes , no reply. I tried several times to use their Chat Line, it refuses to recognise my order number (checked, correct) I have tried following their returns advice, they say they have sent me an email, they haven't. I have tried phoning the nearest Dunelm shop, no reply. I have twice sent an email to an email address I found for their Enquiries. No response. I am now stuck with an enormous damaged picture, no way of contacting them. I feel I have no alternative to go to PayPal for help. What a shambles

This government is very corrupt

This government is very corrupt, I am trying to rebook My driving test but can't because the government and dvsa are corrupt. They can accuse people who are learner drivers of lying, but can't accept that they hire people who are supposed to be professionals of lying about tests just so they can make more money. This is the real reason there is a backlog it's not because of covid, it's because the dvsa examinor lies and delibsabotages learners tests and the so called government does nothing about it. People have the right to learn to drive and pass their test without a supposed professional examinor lying. I mean who gains more from lying, it's not the learner that's for sure. The examinor gets paid either way. How can an examinor have a better view of the road on a left hand bend than the learner driver? Dvsa say they can't change the decision but they can they just don't want to because they get more money by the learner having to rebook their test. The transport minister says she will hire 450 more examinors and I bet all of them will be just as corrupt as the ones already hired by the government.

I am deeply sad

I am deeply frustrated and mentally drained by my ongoing experience with the government’s online system. The entire setup is nonsensical, and the lack of adequate customer service is staggering. For the past four weeks, I have called every single day in an attempt to speak to someone who can offer meaningful help and guidance with my issue. A whole month has passed, and I find myself in exactly the same position, with no resolution in sight. Despite my persistent efforts, no one seems able or willing to assist me.

I fully understand the importance of paying taxes and take my responsibilities as a small business owner very seriously. I pride myself on being honest and organised, but navigating this site has been a complete nightmare. It feels as though the system is actively preventing me from fulfilling my obligations. After reading through countless reviews and comments from others, it is clear I am not alone; many people seem to share my frustration with this disorganised, chaotic platform.

Submitting taxes on time is a critical aspect of running any business, yet this system is making it feel impossible. I have tried every avenue, exhausted every option, and still, I am stuck. What more can I do when no one in the government seems capable of providing assistance? I feel completely abandoned and now feel compelled to seek legal advice. I will not be held accountable for the government’s failure to provide a functioning system or proper support.

I am utterly at a loss. I cannot fathom how other businesses are managing to pay their taxes under these circumstances. This system is an absolute disgrace, and I am struggling to cope with the stress and exhaustion it has caused me. Something must change; this is no way to treat the people who are trying to comply with the law.

The amount of hoops and hurdles I had to jump to simply log into the website is enough to qualify me for the olympics

Taxes, like death, are inevitable, and every year this greedy government not only requests that you send it a piece of your hard-earned money, but also sacrifice your time and sanity in a hare-brained scheme undoubtably aimed at saving itself the costs of hiring more workers. Of course, I'm talking about tax self-assessment. The HMRC website has been more effective at declining my patience for life than most other thing in life, and if I ever chose to stop breathing, they would find a note with these four letters scribbled from top to bottom, row by row, both sides. The absolute BALLACHE this website has caused me in simply trying to log in has rendered me infertile by this point, which may be for the better as this means no children of mine will have to experience this man-made horror (if one uses the definition of 'man; liberally). I have finally completed this Sisyphean task, and now I am rewarded with more of the same, repeatedly submitting the same information over and over to appease some sadistic higher power. If I could go back in time I would stop myself from living in civilisation, because even starving in the winter alone somewhere in the woods would be preferable to the years, hair, and nerves I have lost by interacting with this bloody site.

Appalling

Raise a technical support ticket. No help. Requested to call 0300 200 3600. Not help. Go online! Vicious circle! Requested by the last number to call 0300 200 3300, not help. After 1h 30m, someone did not identify herself and hanged up my call! This is appalling! Taxed thousands of pounds and no service at all! UK Gov is a disgrace! No any liability! Nobody cares! Treating people with no respect! Shame on you UK GOV.

Completely impossible to get a UTR…

Completely impossible to get a UTR code. They say there is a deadline to complete tax returns and if you don't you get fined. Yet you can't get a UTR code so you can't complete it. There is no email confirmation sent out of even completing the form. The lady who i eventuall got on the phone (after two hours wait and multiple attempts) walked me through it and then said that was completely normal not to get a confirmation email. Yet there is no record on my account either. Its the second time i filled it in too. Its now been over 4 months. I have on idea how anyone else is managing and i have no idea what to do at this stage other than get fined for not completing my tax returns.
