Referred by a friend who had a really good experience and we were not disappointed. Sales staff really helpful and accommodating as I was really indecisive and changed a couple of things, surveyor also very helpful and gave great advice during the measure, lovely undermount sink included in price, really quick turn round time once measure done, fitters did an amazing job and explained and agreed everything they did. We absolutely love our worktops, couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. Thank you to the whole team

This is a strange review to write because it should have been a flawless 5-star experience.

To be precise, every step of the process—arranging the order, receiving samples, choosing the worktop, the speed of templating and fitting, the quality of the product, and the professionalism of the installers (Gaz and Chris)—was excellent. The installers even went the extra mile, sharing valuable knowledge they thought I should know. Even woke up this morning and looked at the product and thought fantastic.

However, the conclusion was beyond bizarre. After completing the installation, Chris and Gaz had me inspect the work, sign the sign-off sheet, and then informed me they had to wait until payment was processed. When I called to make the payment, my credit card flagged it as an unusual transaction (understandable, as I don’t buy premium worktops every day). I contacted my bank, who confirmed it would be resolved in 10 minutes. I showed this to Gaz and Chris, apologised for the delay, and as expected, the payment went through shortly after.

Then came the issue. The office requested that I inspect the kitchen again, which I did, but they also insisted I sign a statement saying I had "thoroughly" checked everything. I declined, explaining that while I was satisfied with the work, I lacked the expertise or time (as was working) to make such a claim—after all, that's why I hired professionals in the first place. Despite having signed off and paid, I was told the installers had to stay until I signed this additional statement.

I felt bad for Chris and Gaz, who were forced to sit there for an hour doing nothing due to this unreasonable demand. I won’t be strong-armed into signing something I don’t agree with, especially when payment had been made and the job had already been signed off.

A fantastic experience up until the very end—such a shame it ended on such an unnecessary and frustrating note.

11/03/25 In response to GQ's reply, the exact wording on the final sheet was:

"Please confirm that on completion you will check over the installation and, when happy, sign for satisfaction."

I inspected the installation with the installers and, once satisfied, signed the sheet as requested, following their stated process.

Only after this did the additional demands begin from their head office—first insisting that I check again and call them back, then, upon doing so, requiring an immediate email confirmation of my satisfaction. Even after complying with both these requests, they further insisted on immediate written confirmation using their exact wording, stating that I had "thoroughly" checked the work rather than simply confirming I was satisfied.

By this stage, I had grown tired of their unreasonable behaviour and the escalating demands, which bordered on harassment. They continued to invent additional steps after completion and repeatedly threatened that the workman would remain on-site indefinitely unless I complied with their ever-changing requirements. I’m genuinely relieved that I was present for this ordeal rather than my wife.

Their reply makes it clear they are unable to handle customer service professionally. As a result, I have lowered my rating further and would strongly considering alternatives, such as Al-Murad, which would have price-matched in this case.

Absolutely wonderful company! We’ve had our quartz worktops in for 2 months now and are delighted with them. From getting an initial quote online, to visiting the showroom and dealing with both Paige and Ella who were fantastic. The guys who fitted the worktops were polite and did a great job. The whole process was easy and quick. I would say you need to have your old worktops off when you have the survey. Our old worktops were taken off on Monday, survey Tuesday, confirmation phone call Wednesday, new worktops fitted Thursday and our kitchen fitter fitted the tap/sink on the Friday… My kitchen looks amazing now for relatively little cost… I highly recommend GQ Worktops …

Just has my beautiful worktop installed and I am delighted with it. Can’t recommend this company highly enough, from the first phone call to order to the installation, the girls at sales, Ella, Paige and Sophie were extremely helpful and informative they sent me lots of samples and images and made the whole prossess run smooth, the whole company was lovely, the guy who came to measure and the fitters were lovely and very respectful of my home.
I researched and chose this company firstly because of the price and because of the stunning selection of stone.and aftercare, if you are thinking of buying a stone worktop go no further.

Fantastic experience from start to finish! Paige couldn't have been more helpful and genuinely cares about making sure everything is just how you want it.
I came across GQ Worktops via recommendations on Facebook and visited the showroom that Saturday. It was helpful to see large slabs but Paige also arranged for a sample to be posted to me, which arrived the next Tuesday. Seeing the colour in situ gave me the confidence to go ahead. Paige also beat my previous best quote!
I changed my mind about some extras (drainer grooves, recessed hob, grooves for under-counter strip lights) but Paige was always happy to amend my quote so that I could make the right decision for me. This was really appreciated when making such a long-lasting, expensive commitment.
My worktop was templated/surveyed on a Tuesday and installed first thing that Friday morning. An unbelievable turnaround and it fits like a glove. My joiner also commented on the speed, fit, and quality, and asked for GQ's details so he can recommend them in the future.
Fitters Chris and Gareth were also pleasant to deal with and very respectful of my property and new kitchen. I live in a city centre, which some trades/delivery people make a fuss about, but it was no trouble at all and totally stress-free.
I couldn't be happier and won't hesitate to return to GQ Worktops next time I'm renovating. Thank you!

From the initial quote and installation QQworktops were brilliant . Paige and Ella were both very helpful . From templating to installation it was 2 days , amazing service and a great price . Would highly recommend this company .

From ordering to measuring to fitting was around 10 days and a great price

I would highly recommend this company from the office staff to the fitters everything was excellent. Even when they were running late for fitting we got an update. We are thrilled with our new quartz worktops.

Had my quartz worktop fitted on Friday by Chris and Gaz and I’m so happy with the result. I initially did an online quotation and then went to the factory to discuss timescale and options. I was spoilt for choice with the options and Paige was so helpful showing me different worktops in different lights, and had some samples cut for me to take home to decide. I couldn’t believe how quickly the turn around is- I was offered a fitting date within two days of the survey! I had to rearrange due to my kitchen units not being ready in time, but Paige assured me that it wasn’t a problem. The quote was considerably cheaper than I was expecting too, which made it a no-brainer! Chris and Gaz fitted within two hours and were precise, polite, tidy, and offered advice on after care. Customer service has been excellent too- Paige has been in touch throughout the process. I highly recommend GQ Worktops to anyone considering granite or quartz worktops.

We attended at GQ work tops and spoke to Paige sales manager, she was so helpful and polite, not pushy at all. With the advice from Paige we were able to select the ideal work top for our kitchen/dining area. We are absolutely thrilled with the end result. The fitters are polite and thorough an excellent job. I'd been wanting to have a mini makeover on our kitchen for a couple of years including changing from laminate to quartz worksurfaces, but found the process a little daunting as it's quite an investment and you don't want to get it wrong! I wanted to use a local company and found GQ Worktops - best find I ever made! From my initial contact with Paige and then going through the whole process with Robyn I can't recommend this team enough! Their site survey colleagues were fab, followed by the actual fitting team a couple of days later - I can't speak highly enough of this business and its customer care, quality of work and craftmanship - easiest review to post ever!
