I made it a point to find online that this was a print from a painting hoping to see brush strokes. When the canvas arrived it’s very obscure and it does not look like a painting more like a photograph. That was a little disappointing. The colors were a little more muted than I had expected. All of that being said I decided to keep it.

I have been looking for a picture of a sunrise like this, where the sun was visible, and the scene was calm. In exactly these colors, to go with my bedspread which has a very vivacious print. This is perfect and what I want to see every morning.

Some parts of the art work look as though it was done by a computer. It looks pixelated especially the sun and its reflection in the water.

While this image does appear to have been taken by a camera originally, it appears that the artist digitally altered the image to soften parts of the image, possibly to make it appear painterly.
