Took out a subscription in March but the first magazine I will receive will be the June edition.
I took out a subscription to the magazine Kent Life on 24th March 2024 but by 3rd May I was wondering whether I was ever going to receive anything. I rang up to be told that I had missed the March and April editions and, due to the Bank holiday, was also not going to receive the May edition either. The first edition I would receive would be the June magazine. I objected and asked if I could have a complementary copy of the May edition but was simply referred to the online versions. I find this approach dismissive and inflexible. What happens if your magazine gets lost in the post? Or damaged in the mail? Most companies are happy to replace a lost magazine for a paying customer, but I'm guessing that will not be the case with Kent Life. Also, digital magazines are absolutely not the same as a magazine in the hand. Who wants to sit at a desktop? I don't possess a tablet or laptop and I wouldn't have ordered and paid for a magazine if all I wanted was a digital version.
