Professional hgv company. Artic turns left on roundabout from lane straight only to skip the queue cuz he'll with everyone else as long him, Gregory driver is faster 1 set of lights. Disgusting.

Dangerous driver - using the pavement as the highway. Aggressive driver and verbally so also!

Dear John (CEO)

I am writing to make a formal safety complaint regarding a Gregory Distribution articulated vehicle MW71 AAK that, at approximately 08:44, today 3 March 2026, along Berkeley street (Fishponds, Bristol) deliberately mounted and drove along the pedestrian footway for some distance, outside my daughter’s residential address.

This was not a necessary manoeuvre dictated by road layout or obstruction.
Instead, rather than waiting for oncoming traffic to pass, the driver determined to simply use part of the pavement as if it were additional carriageway in order to proceed. The vehicle was moving while on the footway - evidenced in the attached.

This occurred in a residential street. A small child had just exited a neighbouring property moments before. The risk created by a moving articulated HGV using pedestrian space as a driving lane is obvious. For the avoidance of doubt - this was a deliberate choice made by your driver.

When my daughter raised concern about the danger (see attached) both men in the cab responded by shouting aggressively at her. She has described it as an all together horrible experience.

Driving is this way is prohibited under Section 72 of the Highways Act 1835. Depending on circumstances, such conduct may also amount to driving without due care and attention under Section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988. The matter has been reported to the police.

Please confirm:

1. That the driver and the second occupant have been identified.
2. That the incident has been formally logged.
3. That the matter has been formally reviewed by your Transport Manager in accordance with your operator licence obligations.
4. What corrective steps will be taken to prevent recurrence.

I note that you crow that ‘Our drivers are the face of our business so we want to hear your feedback’. Today one of your drivers drove in a prohibited manner, putting pedestrians at risk and responded in a hostile and aggressive manner when this was pointed out to them. This demonstrates a clear cultural mis-match with what you apparently stand for and must be hugely disappointing to you.

Tried to run me off the road on purpose, have sent dashcam footage to police. Hope he loses his job

Driver of WX16YRG failed to give way at a major roundabout and caused me to skid and fall off motorcycle. Driver stated sun was in his eyes and didn't need to stop as only had to give way at roundabouts??? (That is only if the road ahead is clear and you can see!) Think once, think twice think bike??? No chance. Almost a fatal accident but didn't seem concerned. SHOCKING!

Wish all delivery companies were as good as this!
Kept updated with my delivery throughout and the driver couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Excellent customer service

Yet another appalling conversation with Gregory’s customer service. As a business we receive all types of goods from across the country and yet this firm is the only one that refuses to come down our lane. They are part of Palletways distribution network and yet they refuse to enter into dialogue.
What the driver says is taken as red.
Not sure they are even interested in serving the customer at all.

Absolutely appalling driving around Coalville area. Number plate WJ25 BTY Pulling out and cutting me up at an island, aggressive honking and flashing of me and other drivers, dangerous and unnecessary overtake and general aggressive and intimidating driving. How is this the “gold standard” that lorry drivers should be held to?

Ridiculous driver. Similar to other reviews on here. Nearly took 2 drivers out on the m5/m6 yesterday.

Take dangerous drivers off the road! AV23 OHT flatbed Van, Wednesday 21st May 2025 15:45, came off M1 towards Rotherham. Dangerous driver, road rage towards other lorry drivers, changing lanes in hazardous manner, cutting cars off, swearing (yes, I could hear him in my car) erratic driving, speeding. Should not be on the road, let alone be a company driver.
I tried to contact the company by phone, two different numbers and no answer on several occasions.

Contacted you on your website to say one of your lorry drivers had nearly killed me on my bike by not looking up when he pulled out after talking to one of your other drivers, and then shouting abuse at me. Your website says you respond within 3 days but I've not heard anything. Gregorys may not care about other road users, but just from a financial risk perspective you may want to encourage your drivers to be a but more prudent.

We regularly buy paper, boxed or palleted, from Antalis, one of the leading UK merchants, and they use Gregory for a lot of their distribution. These guys are THE BEST, by a long way, of all the delivery services that come to us. They take care with the goods and always check that all is in good order before leaving. They will even go to the trouble of ensuring smaller deliveries are carefully protected if they have to use our out-of-hours safe place.
None of the other eight or nine companies who come here give anything like this level of service. Seriously, top marks!

Disgusting service from this company 2 days I have been waiting for my delivery.
Had 3 messages on the first day giving me time slots.
Then spoke to the company and promised me delivery next for a AM delivery. Called at 14:15 and pallet still in the depot. And not sure if it will be delivered today.
2 days leave wasted.
The only good point was the lady I spoke to on the call was very nice.

30 minutes on hold for the call to be hung up on.

They're supposed to contact me for a delivery and instead of doing so they lie about leaving voicemails.

Absolute disgusting driving on A46 southbound near Warwick at 1620 today. Swerved TWICE into lane next to him which was moving faster. Once infront of a truck, and the 2nd time infront of a coach full of school children. Using a truck as a potential weapon. Needs professional license revoking!

Usual excuse lorry broke down waited all day. This is the second time this company has done this to me. I’ll make sure this company never delivered to me again. Please don’t use this company. Crap service.

Waited in for a delivery on two separate days, had a text message to say that the delivery was on its way with a an hour time slot, had a call on Friday at 5’0 clock to say lorry had broken down so my whole day was wasted waiting around. Monday the delivery was promised to be delivered before 12,00 as we had a funeral to attend, text message said it would arrive at 11,17 at 11,55 contacted the company to find out yes you have guessed it the lorry has broken down again. Pallet delivered today by another contractor to Gregory’s on time, would not use this company if you require a good customer service.

I love working here been with spar for a year now love the guy there what makes funny bird noises he is so fast at his picking job too he gives me inspiration to keep working my hardest what a guy also amazing bunch of team leaders and supervisors we have now work gets done to an amazing standard time goes quick here good times all around.

Shameful.

Unable to get a remotely true response to any questions.

Messed around for two days by this shameful excuse for a logistics business.
